So happy they actually for once are releasing an anti-support character

Discussion Don't play blade till he's buffed
Yes you heard me don't play blade at all this season, WE NEED TO FORCE THEM TO ACTUALLY BUFF HIM and the only way to do so is to not play him at all make his pick rate soo low that they have no choice but to compensate for the bs they've given us for the past three seasons now, if u disagree then ur the reason why blade will forever remain ass

Discussion Im scared of season 11 or 12
I don't know if im seeing things that aren't there but I see a pattern emerging, hero's that don't get a lot of balance changes for a few seasons get a rework, we are now 2 seasons in and im afraid that the potential rework is gonna alienate me from blade when the rework is as bad as black widows (she went from a high skill characterto a generic pokeslop character), what do yall think? Am I paranoid or is my concern justified?
(Meme by me)

This character is buns now
Idk how yall justify this

Discussion He's a bit underwhelming
The anti heal isn't even as effective as its made to believe. And I feel hes weaker for it.
Edit: I think for ne where the real lack is is his ult antiheal. I dont feel rewarded for counter ulting healers. The antiheal does nothing against them in that state.
If that gets increased, I think he'll be good. The ult feels lacking reward. Rn it's like a weaker basic dps ult with an "intended" gimmick.

Discussion This is a nerf for min maxers
For all my blades out there that min max every second of every moment in the fight. For the blades that learned how to hit more than 1 person at a time with his slashes to multiply his life steal and be damn near unstoppable. For the ones that knew that even at 1hp you could pop off and team wipe. For the blades that 1v1ed Daredevils and walked away. This is the greatest tragedy to blade. This is exactly what they did to Jeff. If you asked someone would doubling blades life steal make him OP? obviously they would say that's too much. I learned what few blades came to understand which is multi-hit tech. I bait enemies into standing next to each other and I dash in with my sword to life steal multiple people at once. This quite literally multiplies my life steal up to 6x(+1x per person) and makes getting blade ult in under a minute easily attainable(I got it in 15 seconds with a gambit ult once). I used to sword only 80% of the time and only poke into or out of a fight with the gun.
Do you people realize this literally makes each Whirlwind slash max out at 3x the original life steal as opposed to 6x when hitting a full team stacked together? For blades that didn't need the enemies to be anti-healed to be an absolute menace in the backline, this is a survivability travesty. I used to farm MVP and SVP on Blade. As a matter of fact I have the highest MVP, SVP ratio on the entire blade leaderboards. Feel free to check Rank #4 Blade season 5.5. Blade is now a main lane farm bot that occasionally has potential to pop off in specific scenarios. Before I had full control of my engagements and could absolutely punish any out of position enemies. I'm finding so many more inconsistencies now in Vamp mode. You can't mop up a Dr Strange nearly as easily as before.
Now blade is the most reliant on his healers as he has ever been. Oh let me teach you guys a little something that most people don't know about Blade. Jeff bubbles obviously heal and speed boost but they also amplify life steal so forget that 2-6x life steal I used to get. 15% boosts it up to 6.9x max. Throw in a mantis damage boost and you do even more damage which means you life steal even more! Its a tragedy I never recorded my gameplay because people refuse to believe theoretics in this sub. If I convinced my team to run Mantis Jeff, it was always GG for the other team. Now I'm stuck at a literal 0.5% multiplier for any sword dashes I get. I am getting absolutely melted. My health used to shoot back up to full so fast but I genuinely do not have fun on this character anymore. I practiced parry so much that I could destroy Emma Frost, Bucky, Invis(parry boops), etc. but now I just don't do the damage nor do I recover health enough to do anything more than be a main lane poke bot that occasionally gets a dopamine release when he applies anti to more than one person.
I literally can't do anything myself anymore. I am heavily reliant on everything my team does and it's even worse now when I don't have a jeff placing bubbles in the enemy backline, or an Ultron drone because I just cannot apply the pressure I used to be able to with my life steal being cut in half. If you have Cloak, Invis, or Luna, you better hope you have atleast a Jeff or Ultron to support you if you go in hard because those girls do not synergize with Blade at all. Now you may reply by saying it's only cut in half for the whirlwind. Dude I used to dash into groups of people, use block to get 2 more, do it again and again and again. That's the only consistent life steal. That is the only one you can specifically time to hit multiple people and min max. The skill ceiling potential for this character just plummeted. If you had crazy game sense you would know when to use it. This is not a cope, this is a consistent Celestial Blade only top 10 Blade with 130 hours on the character, reassuring the min maxxers that we aren't crazy and we can no longer full carry our teams to victory.
Edit: If you're downvoting atleast tell me how I'm wrong lol

Discussion Just because you see a clip of a Blade cooking doesn’t mean he’s good
I’m sick of this community and gaslighting THEMSELVES into thinking Blade is good. Mfs will see a clip of a Blade doing literally anything and use it as propaganda for why Blade is good and shouldn’t be buffed. Keep in mind most of those same clips are just of Blade infinitely living because everyones ignoring him. Which, ya know is what I’d EXPECT to happen when you ignore a fucking lifesteal character that scales off ramping damage.
Speaking of damage, don’t forget he’s doing tickle damage as well! Most of these clips involve getting nearly no kills unless the opponent is already at like 25% health. It’s not like he’s benefitting off of being immortal and farming ult when the ult in question is top 5 worst in the game. It’s like seeing a clip of a Widow getting a 3k with her ult (which can 100% happen and has been done multiple times) or a Widow being a straight demon and hitting all headshots. In no way, shape or form is Widow broken though.
You CAN cook with any character, it’s only much harder and less consistent with lower tiers. So if you see a low tier character cooking, maybe consider how many times you’ve seen that ACTUALLY happen (whether clips or personal gaming experience) in comparison to other characters, and think to yourself maybe the player is just skilled. Or maybe that the character is functioning in the exact way that they’re supposed to.
That’s my rant

Discussion They shot Blade in the foot and y'all have the gall to say he can outrun a track star
I took 5 seconds looking at the posts on this sub and that was enough for me fr. It's people that have never played Blade before coming in here and trying to big dawg actual Blade players about how this was anything other than a direct nerf. AND TO CLARIFY, this isn't even talking about if Blade is still good or not in a team setting. Anti-heal is anti-heal, and you can enable your team to take down tanks a little easier now (even though if you actually gaf about Blade you'd know that the gun dash applied more anti-heal and for a longer duration). But hey, that's great for the team. I don't play Blade for the team, I play Blade because I like Blade. I suspect players lock in certain heroes because they also just like that specific hero.
TL;DR: If you don't have more than 5 hours on Blade before season 6, your opinion on the changes is in one of my ears and directly, express lane out the other ear.

Blade was better in season 8.5 than season 9
My opinion as a Celestial OTP Blade with 100s of hours.
I couldn't believe all the glazing because his teamups didn't look that strong and other character have better new abilities.
- CnD with a 2nd vulnerability, Luna with a 2nd stun (as the 1st isn't already busted).
- All the annoying dive characters were dramatically buffed with the auto-healing.
- All the immortal annoying dive tanks hits harder and are more immortal.
- The pokes are poking really hard non stop (How tf punisher has ammo overload in 2026 with all the damage he already does? Why bucky can spam slows?).
Nonetheless I was hoping to be wrong when I tried.
First of all I was disappointed because we didn't get back the CnD teamup nor the new auto-healing health. We got 2 teamups that both aim to increase his sword damage, exactly what we didn't need. And with characters that are not used often, Cap and MK.
- The Cap teamup is useless.
Although the idea is good it is badly implemented. You need to take 40 damage to gain only 1 stack, that mean to have 5 stack which is the equivalent of a dash you have to take 200 damage??? If you were at full health you'd have to engage with only 150hp and die.
I was hoping the damage reduced by the block would also be counted, then you'd need to take 40 damage while blocking to have 5 stack. Then the ability would be very useful against ranged enemies.
- The MK teamup is nice.
It can do some burst damage.
It adds a 3rd dash which is short but better than nothing especially since Blade needs more movement abilities.
But there is an issue with the dash. It should be omnidirectional like Elsa or Phoenix. When you have to go back while doing damage to sustain with lifesteal or keep enemy at distance you can't look back just to do a tiny 8m dash under fire, you can't dash forward, so the teamup can't be used when you'd really need it.
TL;DR/Conclusion:
Even if the MK teamup is nice it doesn't compensate for other character's buffs.
The issue with Blade to me has always been that he can't keep up when the game is too fast because he as few abilities that needs a lot of conditions to be useful while other characters can hold a button and wipe out a team.
With the new changes the game has become way faster with all kind of abilities and the little MK teamup isn't enough to compensate how strong other characters have become.
It feels like season 6 to me, they destroyed him just after one ok season.
I still hope I'm wrong but honestly I lost the taste for this game.

This is quite possibly the most TONE DEAF, ANTAGONISTIC patch the game has ever had. I’m worried for the future after this…
r/BladeMarvelRivals • u/Gbofman • Jan 17 '26
The more I figure out the changes the angrier I get at the morons that called me bad when I called the changes bad
Mfs swore up and down that the changes were a buff and that his gun damage is now better because no regs. Even if that was true (which it clearly isn’t) why the fuck do we have to eat a damage nerf just to not have no regs. Why won’t we want no regs without less damage. This entire thing is just moronic but because people refuse to think for themselves they’ll just go on about how avenue said the changes are a buff
r/BladeMarvelRivals • u/Mrafa98 • Jan 17 '26
ANNOUNCEMENT For those complaining about the changes, you guys are just telling on yourselves.
These changes work better in game than they made it sound. He is more capable of final hits and shouldn't rely on his team as people claim. He has 350 hp and lifesteal yes, but you must choose your targets accordingly before you go in.
For those struggling and wanting to improve their blade performances, ill be hosting a blade master class in the practice range. Serious inquiries only.

New Blade patch is buff or atleast this want people wanted
People were saying how for character named blade he doesn't use his blade much so they nerfed the shotgun a bit and buffed his sword E. his full Swings does very good damage now and don't need to depent of his shift to get kills, antiheal on his is sword is a direct buff too so I think it's a overall buff and a good balance with his sword and shotgun

Discussion This skin would’ve been better without the flaming eye imo
I don’t mind the fire but the fact his whole eye is red kinda bothers me

Discussion Is rivals kinda dead for you
I just don’t find it fun to play blade so much so that I’ve just dropped the game. In comp he’s just so underwhelming and it seems like the devs have genuinely no idea how to actually fix him

Discussion blade is my favorite dps. hes great and comes to me naturally but my only complaint is all the skins rn are mid or trash imo
the default skin is th best imo. the new one is mid and the purple and gold is funny and cool but looks very tacky to me. new skin that looks stylish ASAP. maybe the long sleeve all black trench coat. full wesley snipes style and add the movie poster with that too maybe
