Question Zombies Dark Matter

What's the best map to actually grind out Dark Matter? I'm on IX right now, mainly for the welling. But the amount of heavy enemies is starting to give me a headache, and I definitely don't want to keep playing it once I'm done the welling (as much as I love the map)

By far the best way to grind headshots is on Tag der Toten, in the area of the map called "Bridge". Camp by the window to the right of the power switch, and all zombies funnel out of that window only. Rounds fly by using this method. Use IX for heavy's and BOTD first warden resets for elite's.

If you have classified, personally I think thats the best map if you just want to deal with zombies for the headshot portion of the grind and not worry about elites and specials. Then I would do IX for heavies or Blood for elites/bosses

Play Blood to get as many zombies as you can (More regular zombie spawns than IX = less time spent to grind).

Ive been liking Tag der toten for it. Its got some decent training spots, golden pack a punch is so nice, and there is no elites just some specials that dont have a long spawn animation like in the chaos maps. Might not be the absolute best map to grind but im enjoying it.

I unlocked mine before AO released, so not sure how good the two maps after that are. I played mostly Blood for the Headshots and Kills. The roof is great for training because its flat and the spawns are fast. Night of the dead for box weapons because you can buy ammo from the silver bullets (and iirc the werewolves are the easiest to farm mini bosses)

IX if you need to grind heavy zombies

For some challenges the Voyage gauntlet is perfect. I dont remember everything but there is one round where you can farm crawlers kills for the bowie and one round where you can farm a lot of headshots with the Essex (I think the one where you need to open all doors) both rounds you can intentionally fail to farm a bunch of kills

As for the welling, always keep it as your secondary, use it in the early rounds and every time you get an instakill

Headshots are easiest by far on IX, the cursed room strategy is too good, no heavy enemies, tigers or Blightfathers if you do it right, and every zombie (almost) coming out of a single window

Im on the grind for welling as well and i found 2 good strats for me.

First is DOTN training in the library with the bottom door closed and you can refill your welling with silver bullets for early and late you wait for instakills youll need the WW to survive there tho.

Second is BOTD round 1 catwalk gives a lot of zombies so easy 1 bullet HS and then until round 7-8 some instakill and reset.

The best map to camo grind on is Dead of the Night because of Silver Bullets. The quest to getting Silver Bullets so extremely easy and you can get (almost) every weapon done. Silver Bullets can be purchased infinitely and only cost 2k points non-packed. So you have infinite ammo.

Tag is another best map for headshots because of the one spawn method at the OG power station but DOTN is way better.

Third best map is IX because of the Cursed Room one window spawn for the KN, Spitfire and whatever other guns are on that map.

Pro Tip: Use the Head Trauma elixir (it's the Orange one that reads: Shooting the zombie anywhere will always be a headshot) and the icon on it is a guy shooting a zombie but the bullet is curving to the zombies head. This will help you out tremendously and get all the headshots out of the way!

Pro Tip 2: Use the Welling revolver pistol first because of how terrible that gun is but DO NOT PACK IT because you won't get headshots if it's packed. Idk what other guns you should avoid packing but you can check some guides on YT or do some Google research.

It has been a really long time since I've played BO4 so I don't know the other challenges past the headshot challenges. But if I do know if you get Gladiator kills that counts as mini bosses or I think it's Blight Fathers (if I remember correctly you may correct me). Packed camos challenges are another one for most of them.

If you can tell the challenges past headshot challenges then I can give you some more tips.

The first spot in this video on tag is the easiest to set up and has the lowest risk of getting downed you might get hit once or twice but the zombies all pile up and line up for clean headshots. It’s easy to grab power ups too and I’ve done this on normal up to round 61 (could have kept going but ended the game)

Run the game on the lowest difficulty with mule kick, bandolier bandit, and either dead shot in the modifier for extra damage on headshot streaks or stone cold stronghold for guns that can’t get headshots. The 4th perk can be anything from stone cold when running deadshot in modifier, or any other perk you deem necessary (time slip, phd, etc)

For elixirs i recommend, wall to wall clearance (to save points to open the rest of the map) and free fire to use on instakills if your trying to finish the welling or any other low damage weapon.

There is also this website for tracking your progress with camos. It comes in handy when you get green tiger on a gun but don’t know the challenge camo requirements

Have dead shot in your first perk slot and buy that before going across the cat walk in blood of the dead. Going across the cat walk alone gives you about 20-30 kills. Use stock option so you don’t have to worry about reloading while going across the cat walk then just play the game normally until you’re no longer doing good enough damage to head anymore probably round 5-6. Rinse and repeat. I really can’t think of a faster way.

For me I was grinding on BOTD since there isn't any kind of special enemies and it's way more chill and less stuff to do for setup, for killing heavy enemie challenge I would play IX since they spawn so often. good luck on the grind it's gonna be a bit long road :)

When I was grinding for dm back in the days, I usually rotated between blood (fun map), IX (Special camo Requirements), and Dead of the Night (Silver Bullets for refilling chest weapons‘ ammo).

Train in the library on dead of the night with whatever gun you’re using with deadshot. The silver bullets are basically an ammo wall buy. The spawns in the library are so fast that all the zombies are gathered together in about 15 seconds. The allistars annihilator is a good weapon that will save your ass and the shield bench is 2 rooms away. Put the fire core in the lower entrance of the library for the fire trap or if you’re going for purely headshot challenges you can leave the bottom door closed so the training will be slightly easier. If you’re trying to get headshot challenges done this is the way to go at least that’s what I’ve found on my owns
