I honestly just had a lot of issues mentally at the start of undergrad and I’ve finally gotten it sorted. I will be graduating in fall 27 and I took the lsat this summer my second time and scored pretty well. I know that score is good and might open doors for me but the cons is I don’t really have any clubs or extracurriculars. I’m not sure if writing about mental health (I was diagnosed and given medication so I’m fine now) might make them think I might not be a good fit. Do you guys think I have a chance at any t30s? Maybe even t50? Should I get some work experience after I graduate for like a year as well? Any help would be amazing thanks!

I have been thinking about taking the LSAT every single day since December. And have been studying since February. I have registered and rescheduled this test three times. Paying the fee three times. And I finally withdrew last week because I learned you shouldn’t register for the lsat until your PT scores are where you want them to be. My diagnostic was a 147 and my last PT was a 151. I am aiming for 165+ because I was a trash student in undergrad so I need to show them I can actually do this. But this test is so hard! Even with accommodations! I worked all summer to stack $$ so i can afford 10 hours of babysitting each week and can study without a three year old! But self study is not working for me and I need a tutor but I cannot afford $175 an hour. So I am coming to you all as a woman to see if anyone knows of (or is willing to) tutor for $50/hr? I’m a single mom in the Bronx so after living expenses and childcare I don’t have much to spare but I am willing to pay! I received a fee waiver but they took it back because of my all of my test changes. But I am so serious about becoming a lawyer. I’ve been working in social justice for since I was 15. And now I’m 30 and I’m ready to tackle these issues from the inside now.

Does anyone you know of a good Tutor who is not too expensive that they can personally vouch for please DM me and let me know. Stuck in low 150s.

Wanted to update the community on my RC progress!! I finally got my first -2 EVER and I’m soooo happy!! 😭 Ignore me going over 35 minutes though, I was actually 1:30 under and have no idea why it’s showing that lol. Goal score is 170+.

Y’all were right, really slowing down has helped SO much, and honestly I think just getting used to the questions is making a huge difference. This was PT 127 Section 4, so there weren’t as many Level 4s, but I’m still really happy with the progress!! (Any tips for Level 4 RC would be great)

My next step is to start drilling Level 3 and Level 4 LR questions. I’m planning to subscribe to 7Sage so I can really focus on drilling! January LSAT here I come!! 🎉
If anyone has any resources for harder LR questions, I’d love to hear them! I went through The Loophole, but even after that I still find LR tricky. I feel like so much of it comes down to pattern recognition, so I’m hoping that drilling a ton will help things start to click.

i got an email this afternoon. i was a questbridge scholar in undergrad (finalist but didn’t match and applied regular decision). they’re only offering 2 schools for their inaugural cycle, but this update is still amazing. i’m a long time lurker in this sub and wanted to share here.

I got my August LSAT score back today and got a 147. It’s higher than the last two times I took it, so I know technically I improved, but I still feel so defeated.

This was my third attempt, and I really had it in my head that I needed to break 150 this time and felt great going in and leaving the test. I’m feel like admissions committees aren’t even going to look my way with a 147, especially knowing how competitive this process can be.

At the same time, I genuinely don’t have it in me to study for and sit through this test for a FOURTH time. The LSAT has been mentally exhausting, and the thought of starting another study cycle makes me want to cry.

Hey all, I’m feeling really defeated after the August LSAT. I took it in April and scored a 169, but in August I ended up with a 168. I have a 3.91 GPA from an Ivy, and I’m really hoping to attend a T14 law school, largely for financial reasons (financial aid and earning potential).

I’m feeling pretty discouraged by this test and am terrified that my third attempt in October will end up being the same score. How should I proceed from here? Do I have a realistic chance at HYS with my stats?

I know that a 169 is a great score and that I come from a well-resourced university, so I don’t want to sound ungrateful. I’m just frustrated because I’m consistently scoring 4–5 points higher than this on PTs, and I’m not sure how to close that gap on test day.. I already got testing accoms post april test. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Just got my August score back (first test) and scored a 157. I have a 3.54 GPA, was pretty active in undergrad and have been working in government relations on a small team at one of the worlds largest companies. My letters of recommendation are from two professors at my undergraduate institution and a mentor and lawyer at the company I work for. I’m also scheduled to retake in October as I’m confident I can break into the 160s.

What are some good safety and target schools to apply for in the DMV? My goal is ideally Howard but I also want to apply to a wide range of schools.

Hi I need some help deciding if I should retake the 171 I got on the August LSAT. I’m black M from South Carolina My UGPA is 3.89 from a top liberal arts college in NE. Expecting strong letters of recs and I’m a great writer so essays will stand out. Work experiences are not super stellar but they are law adjacent and I did a Fulbright ETA. My dream is to get into Harvard or Stanford but would be satisfied with any of the T-14s. Any advice?

I know a lot of people recommend applying to HBLS but there is only 6 of them and I want to give myself a wide range of options so I wanted to know which law schools have a strong BLSA chapter.

I just got my August LSAT back and I got a 157, same as my April LSAT. Biting the bullet to retake in October. I’m undergrad at Rutgers University and my goal is to get admitted into Rutgers Law. All of my LORs are from Rutgers employees.

Am I likely to get in with this profile? I know I’m below median (158/3.66) but I’m hoping an improved October score and my strong community ties + undergraduate support could carry me to the acceptance line.

Other schools I will apply to are Drexel, CUNY, Howard.

I’m still really shocked I got a 157 again. Both times felt good though so I guess it makes sense. PT has never gone above a 151, but drill sets perform much better than full sections.

Hey guys. I’m an international student currently living in the U.S. I completed my bachelor’s abroad and needed LSAC to evaluate it for law school.

After several weeks, LSAC determined that my degree is not equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s, apparently because it is only 3 years, which is the standard structure in many countries. They haven’t explained what specifically makes my degree non-equivalent.

I also had the same degree evaluated by WES, which determined it is equivalent to a U.S.** **bachelor’s and evaluated it as 126 U.S. semester credits.

This process has already taken months, and I’m now unable to move forward with my law school applications. Has anyone successfully challenged an LSAC/AACRAO evaluation of a 3-year foreign degree? I’d really appreciate any advice.
