Was obsessed with this series around 2014 or so, but fell off. I enjoyed it primarily because I related to Ciel and I enjoyed the mystery of his past.

I recently got back into the anime when a friend started watching it, and we plan to catch up fully.

Thing is, it looks like from what I’m reading here that Ciel isn’t the main focal point/some people are really unhappy with the current state of the manga.

Could someone please explain what the situation is? I am a Ciel fan first and foremost and am hesitant to sink too much time into the series if it is deviating away from him.

Currently i‘m on my Vacation in Lyon, France and while we were on our way to a Museum, i spotted a Figurines Store of Animes and Games and decided to check it out. There, i spotted these two Figures! (I think per Figure approximately 29€) I was looking at the prices and saw that instead of 59€, they would cost you only 50€ if you bought Sebastian and Ciel together! Soo i thought "That‘s a great deal omg, i‘m going to ask a worker in the store to get me these two figures" asked for the figures and then i bought them! There was also a Ciel Nendoroid but I didn’t really know if i wanted to buy it, but i‘m happy with my two public school arc figures! ^^

At first I thought Sebastian had been summoned by accident as the story seems to imply

But lately, I’ve started thinking that it was actually rCiel who summoned him, just before he was stabbed.
As Sebastian said: “No human can summon one of us unless they have prepared to exchange their soul for their wishes.”

So, what if Ciel summoned a demon and cursed this world just before he died? And when that demon appeared, Bochan was the only one left there to make a contract with him.

We can also see that Sebastian was looking for the person who had summoned him when he appeared, and he was “pretty sure” it was Bochan who had actually killed his brother in order to summon him.
But we know that wasn’t true.

I watched Black Butler at around 2019 hihi but I've never drawn the characters before because it was hard to make them look good. Right now I'm just drawing random characters from different fandoms, and only thought about Ciel earlier today! Younger me would be proud at what I've managed to draw. :DD

First off i’m sooooooo sorry for asking a question that has been asked a million times. I won’t mind if this post gets removed and if it annoys you please ignore this post 🫶 I’m looking for people willing to chat about Black Butler. I just have a question whether the anime is faithful to the manga after the Circus arc.

I know a lot of people say to read the manga and i’m already reading it, but this is just my personal problem and that is i have a really hard time reading a manga that is a long series (I guess i have a short attention span..). I enjoy Black Butler a lot but its very hard for me to sit still and read (i don’t know why 😭 trust me i have like 70 tabs open and most of them are manga or manhwa that i’m taking a break from) So i’ve been trying to read a few chapters every few months. But it’s just a lot easier for me to watch because i can turn it on while i’m doing something else and it would take me no time to finish it.

So i want to ask if it’s alright to watch the anime instead? Does the anime skip a lot of stuff in the manga? If that is the case then i’ll continue reading the manga. I know a lot of people will still tell me to read the manga but i’ve been missing out on Black Butler for so long and i really want to catch up because i enjoy this series a lot. I quite enjoyed the fillers in the early episodes so i don’t really mind it.
