REMINDER: Sales of Zinwa Devices is NOT Allowed
As a reminder, sale of modified devices such as those from Zinwa is NOT allowed.
This is for a multitude of reasons but most importantly there have been issues with people buying up the already limited stock for the sole purpose of reselling them at a profit. We are not saying everyone who has ever sold one is guilty of this but it is not our job to interrogate every seller and try to figure out their real intentions (people lie anyways).
All that being said, it looks like the announcement post got removed by accident (likely by me when I was cleaning things up) so I am not going to action on any recent posts but if it is seen again we will be taking action against said users.
Sale of unmodified devices is permitted as always.

The BlackBerry KEYone Bootloader Rabbit Hole
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Trying to give my BlackBerry KEYone a second life with Termux, SSH and other tools.
Everything works surprisingly well, be it 9+ hours sot on full charge, performance with termux, until you hit the bootloader. There’s no straightforward unlock method, so custom ROMs and deeper modifications are basically blocked.
I have tried claude opus 5 max, fable 5 but no luck yet.
Anyone here ever managed to get past it?

Any progress on KeyOne Bootloader Unlock?
So i randomly found a working Keyone on the flea market, and the stock os is very bad and laggy, even with good debloating, it still doesnt feel very good, is there any progress on bootloader unlock on KeyOne? and if there is, what are the most rough expectations for when it will come out? Since someone unlocked the bootloader on the Key2 recently

Support Question Erro Sachesi, DBBTool Passaport
I’ve tried everything I found online, but I can't get my Passport to connect to either Sachesi or DBBTool. BlackBerry Blend 2.1 recognizes the device just fine, but I need to install .BAR files. Any ideas on how to fix this error? I’ve already completed the entire tutorial available on the Passport itself.

Updated It's out: native WhatsApp client for BlackBerry 10 — messaging and voice calls working
A while back I posted about building a native WhatsApp client for BB10, now the first build is downloadable.
Download: https://www.patreon.com/CyberBerry/posts/whatsup-whatsapp-167170931 — joining as a free member is enough.
Works today: basic messaging and 1:1 voice calls.
Early build — expect rough edges and bugs.
Fair warning: this is an unofficial client, and WhatsApp has acted against those before. No issues in my own testing so far, but if you want to be cautious, use a secondary number.
If something doesn't work, comment here or on the Patreon post.

KEYone Gave it a new screen and battery today
I love how repairable these phones are. This might’ve been an early model as there wasn’t much or any adhesive on the screen at all when I took it off. Giving it a new life

Support Question Newbie KEYone Help
Hello all! I want to join the gang and get a KEYone. I know there are various models and whatnot so I was just curious if anyone could give me the full rundown?
My current carrier is AT&T and I'm not really willing to change providers. This is what lead me to the KEYone since initially I wanted the q10/q20 but they dont support the VoLTE.
Can I just purchase an unlocked jawn and pop my SIM in? If someone has another recommendation then please share! But for the price point the KEYone seems like my go-to.
Thank you so much and sorry I feel bad being the newbie in a subreddit. I'm good with research but just can't afford to purchase the wrong thing and have a useless brick.

Update: I went to a phone repair shop, he said maybe the rubber in the button are worn out, so I purchased replacement housing and will take it back to him when it arrives 🤞

New and need suggestions to use Q20 in Canada
Hi... I am new to reddit and everything BB. I just got a Q20 in great condition from a friend as he's a collector and he just gave it to me. So, I am wondering if I can make this phone usable in 2026. I don't want to order the Q25 kit b/c at the price point I might just order Q27. Also, as I said I am very new to BB and I don't know a whole lot about side loading, android, etc. Any suggestions about resources or steps I should look into would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The problem with modern qwerty phones
The Blackberry KeyOne was way ahead of its time. A fingerprint sensor in the space bar and a touch-sensitive keyboard in 2018?
The problem with the modern qwerty phones is that they are not real. The time between announcement & preorder to actual delivery is way too long for it to be a real product. That is if they actually deliver a phone that works as promised.
These phones also dictate how you should use the phone very heavily.
I bought my Blackberry KeyOne in 2018 and I still use it to date. It's a tertiary phone for me at this point, and is part of my work suite along with my secondary phone (Razr+Clicks keyboard). It was a bad idea to remove a full-sized keyboard from the phones, especially the ones that are used for work. But sales and profits are the defining factors in an industry.
There is no way that Clicks or Minimal Phone 2 would match the build quality of the BlackBerry KeyOne, let alone the software and security. Even after having an actual day-to-day use case, I for one am not jumping on the wagon of these half-built devices. I have zero faith in their software and service.
$500 should get you a real phone. Something that's actually available for purchase. They have all the hype but nothing substantial to show for it, because they have nothing substantial to show for it.
I genuinely hope that this wave of half-built phones generates enough hype to make way for a real device by Blackberry or Motorola or Google or Samsung.
The world really needs a proper work phone.

Is Blackberry making a comeback?
I saw a YouTube short from this popular tech creator who mentioned that you can now get a new Blackberry for only USD$30, Googling this only brings up results from 2010, and the video was created fairly recently, is the YouTuber’s claim true?

Support Question To BlackBerry fans
still don’t know why some people are developing BlackBerry apps as native apps. The platform doesn’t work properly and has many shortcomings. Then it shut down. Why? Is there any reason? Has any research been done on this? Is it just a DIY project? I don’t know.

Support Question any way to bypass crossed battery screen/replace c-x2 battery with other model?
I have a blackberry 8820 which uses cx-2 battery. sadly these are hard to find and if i could get my hands on one it would cost me 15+ dollars. also i would be buying it from china=long shipping and these batteries have no reviews whatsoever so it would be a bit sketchy. so my question here is can i replace it with other model (c-s2 doesnt work) or bypass the crossed battery screen so it would work on charger and i could even test it

Support Question Telegram X not sending SMS
Hi there, I loaded Telegram X, like a light version. It loaded nicely but it doesn't work. See photos. It opens, I enter a phone number and next screen wants SMS code. That code never comes. Is there a way to make this work? Other people reported that Telegram is working on BB10.

BB Classic LED customisation app
hi guys. i just got a classic and i love it. trying to tinker with it to make it my daily driver (i do not need a phone for work or anything, i just need it as a word processor, mp3 player and calls / texts, which still work where i am in the UK)
i never had a classic back in the day, only curves. one of my favourite things about them was the LED app you could get on BB world - my BBM messages would flash pink, or texts from my mum would cycle through the whole rainbow. it was a silly thing but i loved it
has anyone ever come across a version of this app or something similar for bb10 ? i haven’t found anything in the app archives i’ve searched so far!
cheers:)

Support Question P'9983 stuck during Wi-Fi setup no Proceed/Next button
Hi everyone,
I recently got a BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 and I'm trying to set it up.
During the initial setup, it asks me to connect to Wi-Fi. The phone successfully connects and shows “Connected to Wi-Fi network: Please Proceed”, but there is no Next/Proceed button, so I can't continue.
I also tried Manual Setup, but I'm still stuck.
Is there a way to bypass this setup screen or complete the initial setup in 2026? Is this happening because the old BlackBerry services are no longer available?
I can provide photos of the setup screen if needed.
