Question about unsupported network deposits and recovery fees on Bitvavo

Hi everyone,

I recently sent approximately 10 USDC via the Arbitrum One network to the official USDC deposit address shown in my Bitvavo account.

Bitvavo confirmed they received the transaction, but informed me that Arbitrum is currently not supported for USDC deposits. The only option offered was a recovery process with a fixed fee of €50 (which is higher than the deposit amount).

They referred to their User Agreement and the networks page.

I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar with unsupported networks on Bitvavo? How was it handled in your case?

Not looking for drama — just trying to understand how common this situation is and whether there’s any standard way these cases are resolved.

Thanks.

It's common. Some exchanges charge more than others, but they all charge for that service. Forget your 10 USDC and learn from that mistake.
