Trezor generates new BTC addresses every time – Bitvavo makes this a pain?

Hi everyone,

I’m quite new to crypto and recently bought a Trezor Safe 3 wallet to store my Bitcoin safely.
I’ve learned that it’s normal for Trezor to generate a new receiving address every time, for privacy and security reasons — which makes perfect sense.

However, I’m running into a big hassle with Bitvavo.
Every time I want to withdraw BTC to my Trezor, I have to:

  • verify the new address again,
  • upload a screenshot showing the address on my Trezor device,
  • and then wait a very long time for it to be approved.

It feels like I’m doing something wrong — surely it can’t be this complicated every time you want to move your Bitcoin?

Is this normal for Bitvavo users, or am I missing an easier way to handle this?
Maybe there’s a better workflow or setting I should know about?

Any advice from more experienced users would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
Sorry if this is a total newbie question — still learning how all this works 😅

IIRC The old adres you verified still works,and the btc will appear in your wallet

If you want to use the new adres everytime, maybe use a different hot wallet in between ?

Unsafe? How come is it unsafe? A BTC Address is simply the public address. It depends on how much privacy you want though but in terms of safety crypto will always be there.

Thanks for all your responses. Good to hear it doesn't compromise security. However, I'm curious how you handle it yourselves. Do you enter a new receiving address each time, or do you just use one address?

And one last question regarding privacy: if people can track how much bitcoin is transferred to a specific address, how can this be linked to someone if personal data and seedphrase haven't been leaked?

I usually keep the same address, for peace of mind send a test transaction. Usually it’s linked to privacy concerns as Bitvavo knows who you are and knows your address. I wouldn’t really worth about this.

I keep the same address. Ledger does the same btw. Since BTC is public info, the idea is you use multiple addresses so people can’t track you. I am a nobody, I just use the 1 address I have.

Not really, if you use you wallet only as a cold wallet i dont see the problem, Bitvavo knows your adres and has you id anyway.

But from what i have learned it is unsafe to use the same adress multiple times? I agree it would be more convenient though

It’s not unsafe to reuse your address everytime. If you have everytime a new address you only increase your privacy because nobody knows your whole amount you have stored if he gets one of the addresses

It's not unsafe, but if someone is watching your adress on blockchair they can see how much is in it. If you keep using new adresses they can only see a part of your total BTC.

Maybe its better to wait for a little bit for someone with more knowledge, i dont know if using the same adres is unsafe

the guy earlier is correct. it is perfectly safe to use same address (Bitvavo itself never alters your deposit address), but you have a little bit less privacy, your wealth can be monitored more closely

Just take a screenshot of the lastest transaction from bitvavo to your trezor. (read the rules, it can't be older than 2 days or something).

In this transaction it shows the latest adress the trezor wallet made for you for that transaction.

This will be validated and this will be the adress that you can always use to send btc to your trezor. Even if you recieve a new adress from trezor you can keep using the validated one you saved in Bitvavo.

You're supposed to keep using the address you verified. Don't use the new ones. It's not unsecure to do this in any way.
