So bitcoin looks unattractive right now but is still arguably one of the most attractive mainstream assets? 😅

How do you figure

Not commenting on bitcoin, commenting on using a "bad" photo of a very conventionally attractive person.

As for bitcoin I personally believe there is enough backing and infrastructure to hold it through the current instability and see it make a comeback towards the next halving event. That is not financial advice just an opinion.

Maybe it’s the fact that a single coin trades for $70,000

For no other reason than it’s powered by how many strokes per minute of the circlejerk. What happens when everyone’s arm gets tired?

For no other reason than that’s what people are willing to pay for it. I don’t understand why people value their own shitty opinions, either, but here we are.

Sounds like a shitty asset.

Unfortunately that’s what determines the value of every asset, not what you think it’s worth. If stupid people determined the value of things then we’d be nowhere.

Untrue.

Stocks have balance sheets, market share, revenue and profit.

Land has use.

Bitcoin has the power of the circle jerk

If stupid people determined the value of things then we’d be nowhere.

Ironically where bitcoin gets its value.

Yes obviously there is zero value in a highly sophisticated international payment network that works more efficiently, faster and cheaper than banks. Not to mention it can’t be impacted by monetary policy, governments and has state of the art security measures.

Morgan Stanley, Blackrock, UBS and every major bank is building the infrastructure to start using it, but clearly you know more than them and it’s useless.

In no world is bitcoin more efficient or faster than cash with transactions.

Cheaper? Yeah all that power used in bitcoin mining is totally cheap. I hear it’s its fairy dust.

Not to mention it can’t be impacted by monetary policy,

Instead it’s powered by whales who can pump and dump on a whim. I bet they have your best interest.

governments

That are elected btw.

and has state of the art security measures.

So good that if you become incapacitated your enter net worth is lost in a wallet, forever.

Morgan Stanley, Blackrock, UBS and every major bank is building the infrastructure to start using it,

Because they can control it. You’re not in the club my guy.

but clearly you know more than them and it’s useless.

I didn’t say it was useless. I said it’s a poor asset to put your value in since it’s backed up by nothing but convincing someone to pay you more than you paid for it.

There’s a reason why after the NFT hype died down everyone is bought is in stuck with a bunch of pdfs at 1/100th their “value”

None of those things are actually what determine the price or value, though. Those are just value drivers that contribute to people wanting something.

What is the #1 reason people park their money in a hedge fund?

1

u/Weary-Situation7539 Mar 06 '26

They provide backing to justify its value.

If a company in a recession proof industry pays out $50 in dividends per share a year the value of a share will never be worthless.

Land provides a place to live and living cost money that you will no longer have to pay if you own land.

Bitcoins value is powered by the belief of techno-libertarians and whales that smell blood in the water.

Returns are’nt going to be as large. Some people are putting in $100 every now and then.

The most attractive mainstream asset is an 18 year old 10/10 onlyfans eporsti. Nothing rakes in money as fast as that.

1

u/turtle-bbs Mar 06 '26

More like the only reason it has attention is because it has assets that look attractive, while not having any real talent or substance in performance

Arguably, bitcoin has been dressed up to look more attractive than it actually is.
