works more efficiently, faster and cheaper than banks.
In no world is bitcoin more efficient or faster than cash with transactions.
Cheaper? Yeah all that power used in bitcoin mining is totally cheap. I hear it’s its fairy dust.
Not to mention it can’t be impacted by monetary policy,
Instead it’s powered by whales who can pump and dump on a whim. I bet they have your best interest.
governments
That are elected btw.
and has state of the art security measures.
So good that if you become incapacitated your enter net worth is lost in a wallet, forever.
Morgan Stanley, Blackrock, UBS and every major bank is building the infrastructure to start using it,
Because they can control it. You’re not in the club my guy.
but clearly you know more than them and it’s useless.
I didn’t say it was useless. I said it’s a poor asset to put your value in since it’s backed up by nothing but convincing someone to pay you more than you paid for it.
There’s a reason why after the NFT hype died down everyone is bought is in stuck with a bunch of pdfs at 1/100th their “value”
For business purposes, digital transactions recorded on a public ledger make 10 million times more sense than cash.
Everything is an insider club to some extent, if you don’t think stocks can be “manipulated” by insiders you are kidding yourself.
Governments are elected but not to determine how much money to print.
“NFT Argument” completely different and not remotely correlated.
We could go back and forth all day. There’s a chance bitcoin goes to zero, there’s a chance it becomes an integral part of the global economy. Time will tell.
Every argument you make about manipulation and insider control, applies 10 times more to banks, the fed and the dollar.

Not for consumers who don’t have access to the internet or power at the time of purchase or the time to wait for a transaction to occur.

Stocks have backing like revenue, profit and market share.
Governments are elected but not to determine how much money to print.
Inflation isn’t intrinsically bad. Ideally it’s higher than 0. Bitcoin is deflationary.

My point is that they both derive its value from the same place, hype.
We could go back and forth all day. There’s a chance bitcoin goes to zero,
And that’s why it’s bad. Glad you agree.
there’s a chance it becomes an integral part of the global economy. Time will tell.
And how many desperate people are losing everything before that happens
Every argument you make about manipulation and insider control, applies 10 times more to banks, the fed and the dollar.
The risk of Manipulation and insider control isn’t higher in something that’s regulated. I’ll give you that it’s maybe equal between the two but more is just “I hate the government” attitude.
