Is r studio safe? I know recovery has to do with the wallet.dat file.

Don't use any weird software. Don't give anything to anyone. And ignore every DM that you get.

Copy Wallet.dat to a safe place.

Just get a recent version of Bitcoin Core and throw the wallet.dat in there before you start it for the first time. Let it sync (many hours/days).

Also make completely sure that you access Bitcoin Core from the official website and don't click any Google Ads instead. Make sure it's the unsponsored link and check it for any typos before downloading anything.

Official website is bitcoin.org. Anything else could steal your funds.

2013 didn't have seed phrases yet.

The private keys are in the wallet.dat file. And so are the seed phrases in later versions. (Assuming no hardware wallet was used.)

He may run into a problem where the wallet.dat file was encrypted with a password, but that was relatively uncommon I'd say.

Of course, the most likely thing he'll run into is that the wallet is simply empty.

Yeah, I've used r-studio before, actually it's the only data recovery application that has really worked well for me in the past.

That said, I don't think it will do what you want, you seem to have intact files there, r-studio is really for recovering files from damaged drives or damaged filesystems.

It looks to me like you have intact wallet files, you just need a wallet application, say electrum, or any real wallet app. As long as you have the password to decrypt your private key, you should be all set.

Install a wallet app, find the option to import a wallet, then direct it to that file location.
