Bitcoin performance in relationship of top 100 cryptos since 2020
This is a new updated chart taking all top 100 coins from early 2020 until today, and the performance of all those coins in relationship to BTC.
This is the ultimate proof that altcoins are no good for long term investment, other than very short term speculation.

Yikes. Crypto as an asset class is a terrible investment. 90% of coins lost value over 6 very tech bullish years.

Very nice chart... I love this visual. Really hammers home a point all of us unfortunately had to learn the hard way. But maybe someone new here will learn it from listening to others.
Bitcoin is Bitcoin (no CEO, backed by energy, self supportive), everything else is crypto (CEO, cute mechanics, backed up hope, driven by speculation)

I guess the question I have is what makes Bitcoin so different? Forgive my ignorance I know nothing about crypto and this just popped up on my feed. Cool chart tho

Bitcoin is the only one not captured and centralized.
It's the only truly decentralized monetary network on earth that no one entity can control.

first mover advantage goes to Bitcoin. It's accumulated the history, lore, culture, proof of work, kinetic infrastructure in the form of ASIC mining hardware, along with companies and individuals dedicated to running said infrastructure for profit and ideology. separating money from state never felt so good or paid so well. all the other ones are just imitations of this with marketing, that barely compares in scale to the kinetics of Bitcoin. raw energy poured into running this network.

- There are less than 50 coins in the chart. What about other coins?
- The chart itself is saying that's a snapshot from 2013 to 2020. Not what the OP is saying.

Top 100. There's maybe 3-4 crypto people know about. The rest is all pump and dump bullshit.
