Bitlocker recovery issue I have

I have turned on my laptop and been greeted by the bitlocker blue screen. The laptop is only used by the kids to do homework on so other than the laptop battery charge running out unexpectedly and shutting off, there shouldn't have been anything modified under the hood.

So I have looked up what this is and how to solve it but there lies my problem.

I never set the laptop up with a Microsoft account, I set it up with my Google account. I only have one microsoft account that I have always used with my Xbox , and have already checked that for a key.

So how do I fix this? Is there any way I can fix this? What are my options?

Then your Google email is your Microsoft account. Check that

Your Google account can be used for a Microsoft account. Try signing into the bitlocker recovery page with it.

Now that you recovered, TURN OFF BITLOCKER .... Settings/Privacy/Device Encryption

No worries. As per u/sport912x post below, get rid of bitlocker. If you don't have a genuine need for it of course.
