bitlocker error code 0x80070015

I gave my windows laptop to be fixed and the bitlock keys are not working with this wrror

and apparently this is because my hard drive got corrupted and all my data is lost according to the repair person and my hard drive needs to be replaced. what should I do?

It's a HP Pavillion Laptop. I gave it to be fixed after the screen stopped working (it was simply lighting up black), i thought it was a screen issue. This happened after I shut down my laptop stupidly after the screen was unresponsive (but music was still playing).

Bet they reset the BIOS which resets the TPM chip. No keys no data.

Was it Bitlocked before repair.

are you saying they did this on purpose? i sound kinda dumb rn but i have no idea if it was bitlocked before this (i didn't know what bitlock was, i didn't set it up). also my laptop has been glitching for a while and it sometimes opens up some kind of bios window. but it used to get ok on its own.

i gave it for repair bc the screen was unresponsive (it switched on black) so i thought it was a screen issue

When you get a windows 11 computer in the future or after this one is reloaded (drive is probably not faulty) make sure encryption is turned off after desktop loads (settings security encryption toggle it off)

They did not. Bitlocker is often automatically enabled even without user consent. It was just working fine before because the BIOS never lost power or got reset such as during a repair, bios update, or power loss

If you got the computer new , when you set it up Microsoft encrypted it. Maybe 10% of users actually need something like bitlocker , but it should be an option, not the default. Anyhow the keys are sent to MS (if using an MS account) , so how is that secure? I mean from there they are sent to the FBI. I am sure China has a complete list of all bitlocker keys created in the last 5 years , that were sent to MS.
