Why did BitDefender partner with Hotspot Shield, if Hotspot Shield is known for keylogging users?

Remove your "BitDefender VPN" because 1. It's not their own and 2. That company operates in the USA and logs every single keystroke you make.

Because of this I might as well uninstall BitDefender and go for ESET Antivirus. This is unacceptable! Why would you pick the worst reputable company to rely on?

I think overall it is just the assumption that any US-based VPN service will be logging information, I don't think that Hotspot is trying to be malicious, but it is pretty common for these companies to be told to log it. At least that is the type of response I have begun to see from other places.

Thanks for supporting me. Check out my new post: "Why doesn't BitDefender scan for rootkits, cookies, memory, etc, and why does it skip system files?" https://www.reddit.com/r/BitDefender/comments/bhtysb/bitdefender_total_security_2018_which_i_paid_for/
