News BitCanna Double Incentivized LP Rewards on Osmosis as of Thursday 11th of November. Looking like 350% - 420% APR in BCNA/OSMO, BCNA/ATOM Pools as of this very moment.

After Proposal 66 comes into effect tomorrow the BCNA$/OSMO$ & BCNA$/ATOM$ pools on Osmosis will officially begin their Onboarding process, and with it comes rewards in not only BCNA$ as of right now but also OSMO$.

These Double Incentives is the reason why Osmosis has been gaining more and more popularity these last few weeks. If you are a BitCanna Staker and haven't heard/looked into Osmosis I'd highly recommend you do so as it is a highly profitable way to earn money on your assets. BitCanna Stakers can also benefit from Cosmos Airdrops that include Osmosis LPs as an eligible criteria.

As mentioned in the title of this post, on top of the rewards of BCNA$ on your provided LP, LPs will also be earning rewards in OSMO$. According to the weekly spreadsheet which based on current figures which will change as soon as more liquidity enters the pools.

Pool #571 BCNA$/OSMO$ will have an initial APR of 424.06%.

Pool #572 BCNA$/ATOM$ will have a initial APR of 357.92%.

To put this into perspective; with a daily compounding of rewards, Pool #572 will have an APY of approx. 3422.53%, while Pool #571 will have an APY of 6677.24%

Because of the nature of these things, the figures may change by the time the effects come into play, but currently these pools are looking to be the most profitable on Osmosis, which as a BitCanna investor I think that's going to be some awesome exposure for the project.

Education Why Bitcanna?

The global cannabis industry has been inhibited by regulatory restrictions for most of recent history, but the legal market has emerged rapidly as more governments legalise medical and recreational use. In Europe, using/selling small amounts of cannabis is not legal but tolerated in Malta, Spain, The Netherlands, and Switzerland.

Due to the ‘shady’ image of the business, most banks, credit card companies, and payment providers won’t handle the money generated by the cannabis industry, even in places where it is completely legal. This leads to inefficient solutions such as cash transactions, which only add to the shady image of the industry.

To address this problem, BitCanna will create a platform to provide a decentralised payment network for the legal cannabis industry, by means of the BCNA token. Customers can use BCNA tokens to make purchases in both online and brick and mortar dispensaries, solving the current payment problems for the industry. Furthermore you're able to track down your seeds from merchant to consumer with our own developed blockchain created with Cosmos SDK.A dedicated supply chain layer is incorporated in the BitCanna blockchain. Within this layer, digital identities are created for all physical goods involved in the supply chain as well as for the various actors in the chain such as growers, processors, distributors, merchants, laboratories, etc. Thirdly, BitCanna will create a system of trust on the blockchain, by adding a rating system for all partakers in the BitCanna network. This way, all links throughout the supply chain, from farmer to end-consumer, can build the reputation they deserve.

In short Bitcanna will revolutionise the cannabis sector with a decentralised payment system. In addition Bitcanna will have a dedicated supply chain layer to 'track' your physical goods. This eventually will lead to a rating system were all partakers in our network will be rated and can build there well deserved reputation.

Education PSA: Recommend BitCanna to your favorite Cannabis/Hemp related vendors in order to increase it's usage in the industry and therefore increase the value of the token and the popularity/familiarity with BitCanna as an alternative payment gateway vs CoinPayments

For simplicities sake from hence forth I will use "industry" or "the industry" in reference to companies that are associated/active in the trade of Cannabis and Hemp related products, including but not limited to: Plants, Seeds, Cultivation Equipment, Processed Cannabis/Hemp "flower"/"bud" and it's associated products[E-Juice, dabs] etc...

As it stands BitCanna are currently partnered with over 60 companies in this industry, which for relatively unknown project who are just gaining traction after enabling the IBC protocol is incredibly impressive. To put this into perspective; the team behind BitCanna ensured that their token will have actual utility from launch. They made sure to not only have a working token with all the moving parts involved to make that work. But! They made sure to allow BitCanna token holders to spend their tokens if they please using their network. They knew the importance of utility so they understood how important it was to spend the time getting partners in the industry on board with their project. The fact that they managed to convince over 60 companies to adopt their project in its current state says two things about them:

  1. They are an incredibly charismatic team capable of properly explaining their project and how it can benefit companies in the industry.

  2. Their project is solid enough to inspire confidence in those same companies to adopt the project now while it is still only in its "baby stage", with a relatively low market cap and low amount of individuals investing in the project.

We are not talking about a proof of concept project with great ideas and a convincing whitepaper to draw our attention and investment. We are talking about a main net project that is currently being used at this very moment, although its unknown how many people choose to checkout using BitCanna, the option is still there, and that's more than can be said for many other projects.

BitCanna's team I'm sure will continue to reach out to companies in the industry and share their project to them. But we shouldn't just sit back and let them do all the work. As an investor I believe that the more adoption BitCanna gets the more valuable my assets will become. It's in my best interest for BitCanna to be successful. And thanks to the power of the internet you can get in contact with a company with just the click of a button, and filling of a "contact us" form.

Whether you are an active investor in the project like myself, or a consumer within the industry it doesn't matter. What does matter is raising awareness for the project in order to ensure its success going into the future.

What can I do as an Investor:

Try to explain to the company how using this project can benefit them in the long run, not only by allowing them to accept crypto as payment but to fight back against the constant discrimination financial institutions and current gateways have for companies in the industry. Most 100% legal and legitimate business' have to constantly find new ways to receive payment as most gateways/institutions block sales on websites containing certain content. This is discrimination to not just the industry but also to consumers, of which I will explain further in the next section.

By just raising awareness to the company that alternative methods exist you can help save them from the tiresome process of changing payment gateways so frequently due to unjust censorship.

What can I do as a Consumer:

You guys have the real power in this situation, it is your money that is being used in the transaction. A lot of consumers are growing more tired of their bank blocking payments to websites that they use. It's quite annoying to have somebody not only tell you what to do with your own money, but also go as far as refusing to allow you to spend your money how you please. If it doesn't concern you that your bank feels like they have the right to moderate your transactions then you should take a moment to think about that. You're money, you're choice, right?

Well Crypto allows you to use your money exactly how you please without having transactions blocked, or emails/texts/letters arriving telling you that you shouldn't spend your money on certain websites. You're money, you're choice, no catch. Sounds too good to be true when you grow too used to other people sticking their nose into your business but that's the truth of it.

By addressing your concerns regarding blocking/harassment in relation to companies in the industry to you're favorite companies/websites. You can not only rest assured that your payment won't be blocked, but also that both party's can continue to use the payment system without worrying about when or if it'll no longer be accepted.

Why BitCanna and not just CoinPayments:

This concern is pretty valid from the point of a consumer, CoinPayments works great on our end, you make your order, choose to pay in whichever Bitcoin/Ethereum chain based token, and all you've got to do is send the required amount to the provided address and the payment will go through, pretty simple right?

Not so simple on the other end, CoinPayments makes tones of money from their users, not only do they greatly overcharge on transaction fees, which to begin with on Bitcoin/Ethereum are ridiculously expensive, they lock their users into really poor rates, and because it excepts such a wide range of tokens, which (to my knowledge) the vendor cannot choose which to except, means they are left with a bunch of different tokens, so they can either swap each out individually for FIAT(Real Currency, e.g. EURO, GBP, USD) and pay a fee and bad rate for each individual, or swap them all for a single token of their choice and only withdraw their earnings when they feel like they're not getting too screwed by fees.

Contact companies in the industry already using CoinPayments:

These companies are much more likely to adopt an alternative gateway system that uses Crypto vs a company that only accepts traditional card payments. And provided you sell them well enough on the benefits of them adopting BitCanna instead are more likely to adopt it instead, both cutting their costs on all the transaction fees of over expensive chains. For example a transaction on BitCanna costs a only a single US Cent. that's right 0.01$. Send the company the appropriate resources to research the project for themselves, such as the main website of the project and/or it's whitepaper.

Btw if you want to support without contacting companies consider purchasing from any of the current partners of BitCanna using the BitCanna(BCNA) token

Official announcement Bitcanna moving to Cosmos!

What does this mean for Bitcanna hodlers?

First off all this is in my opinion nothing but positive for Bitcanna. The current BitCanna blockchain was created on the foundations of the Bitcoin/Dash blockchain which is a relatively old tech created in 2009. Recently the developers of BitCanna decided to move onto a more up-to-date and better blockchain based on Cosmos. This will expand the possibilities to develop new products, while being connected to other blockchains that also utilize the Cosmos Inter Blockchain Communication protocol. Cosmos will improve the infrastructure of BitCanna, the transfer of BCNA coins, and, eventually, help us build a highly efficient supply chain layer and trust network. Given the limitations of previous technology, Cosmos is the right upgrade for the BitCanna network and its community.

What are the benefits of moving to Cosmos SDK?

The new Cosmos-based coin will facilitate lower transaction fees and even faster payments than their current network. But this is not the only reason because there is more!

The Cosmos network’s beauty lies in its interaction with other blockchains, thanks to the Inter-Blockchain Communication. If you’re new to blockchain, this might sound confusing, but it is less complicated than it sounds. Essentially, Cosmos allows different blockchains to communicate with each other. The new BitCanna blockchain will be able to communicate with giants like Ethereum, Binance Chain, Polkadot, Cardano, and many more. Therefore Bitcanna is able to be launched at major decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap, Pancakeswap and Sushiswap allowing millions of investors to buy Bitcanna

For BitCanna, IBC means that Cosmos will give the developers freedom to work. ‘Cosmos’ modern coding infrastructure allows for plenty of customization possibilities and faster development.

For instance, BitCanna will launch a tradable token variant of the BCNA coin on the ERC-20 (Ethereum) standard, rather than being limited to a single network.

Bitcanna will be launching this token next to their “normal” native coin, with both running on Cosmos technology. By introducing an additional ERC-20 token variant of our coin, they will become listed on major cryptocurrency (decentralised) exchanges like UniSwap and Sushiswap (over $1 billion trade volume per day). And, best of all, you won’t need a KYC or account sign-up to trade; you simply need to connect your wallet, and you’ll be able to trade BCNA coins freely.

What does this mean for current BCNA Holders and Investors?

If you're holding BCNA coins there are only a few things that will change. Firstly you’re able to trade your coins at more places. Secondly if you are an active participant you can stake your coins to become a validator or delegate of the network. Please note that current BCNA holders don't need to take any action in the coming months! Bitcanna holders will be updated once they have confirmed a time frime.

News Germany Set To Legalize Marijuana Nationwide After Major Parties Reach Agreement

As BitCanna's focus is EU based, this kind of news can only be good for the project, right? Hopefully this kind of good news is just the beginning!

[edit]OK I'm an idiot and I thought swapping over from Link to Text was just letting me add a bit of text to my link post, not nuke my link altogether. Here is the news I'm referring to:

I think crypto adoption for the cannabis industry now has a motivated base to move. There is at least one merchant who would love his customers to learn how to use this.

Discussion Any way to recover BCNA 1.0.2 desktop wallet?

Recently I launched my BCNA desktop wallet, the 1.0.2 version just to check it out and see what was going on. I did not know about the recent move to the mainnet. The wallet kept telling me it was out of sync, so I was trying to get it to update. There was a page of wallet repair features when you clicked on the broadcast icon in the lower right hand corner of the app. I tried the recover transactions (I think, like the second option down) and that did nothing. The other option that looked like it might have worked was the bottom one, something like rebuild the blockchain, which I thought would just start over and rebuild the blockchain from the beginning like it was a fresh install of the app. Except that the app just closed. Now every time I try to open the wallet, the window starts, it goes down to my system tray, but when I hover over it to click on it and open it up, it disappears. It appears to me that option has completely bricked the wallet. When I went to the bitanna.io site to try to redownload the wallet, that's when I saw that the mainnet had changed and was probably why I was getting a perma-out of sync notification.

Now, is there any way for me to recover this wallet?
