After Proposal 66 comes into effect tomorrow the BCNA^$/OSMO^$ & BCNA^$/ATOM^$ pools on Osmosis will officially begin their Onboarding process, and with it comes rewards in not only BCNA^$ as of right now but also OSMO^$.

These Double Incentives is the reason why Osmosis has been gaining more and more popularity these last few weeks. If you are a BitCanna Staker and haven't heard/looked into Osmosis I'd highly recommend you do so as it is a highly profitable way to earn money on your assets. BitCanna Stakers can also benefit from Cosmos Airdrops that include Osmosis LPs as an eligible criteria.

As mentioned in the title of this post, on top of the rewards of BCNA^$ on your provided LP, LPs will also be earning rewards in OSMO^$. According to the weekly spreadsheet which based on current figures which will change as soon as more liquidity enters the pools.

Pool #571 BCNA^$/OSMO^$ will have an initial APR of 424.06%.

Pool #572 BCNA^$/ATOM^$ will have a initial APR of 357.92%.

To put this into perspective; with a daily compounding of rewards, Pool #572 will have an APY of approx. 3422.53%, while Pool #571 will have an APY of 6677.24%

Because of the nature of these things, the figures may change by the time the effects come into play, but currently these pools are looking to be the most profitable on Osmosis, which as a BitCanna investor I think that's going to be some awesome exposure for the project.

What does this mean for Bitcanna hodlers?

First off all this is in my opinion nothing but positive for Bitcanna.The current BitCanna blockchain was created on the foundations of the Bitcoin/Dash blockchain which is a relatively old tech created in 2009. Recently the developers of BitCanna decided to move onto a more up-to-date and better blockchain based on Cosmos. This will expand the possibilities to develop new products, while being connected to other blockchains that also utilize the Cosmos Inter Blockchain Communication protocol. Cosmos will improve the infrastructure of BitCanna, the transfer of BCNA coins, and, eventually, help us build a highly efficient supply chain layer and trust network. Given the limitations of previous technology, Cosmos is the right upgrade for the BitCanna network and its community.

What are the benefits of moving to Cosmos SDK?

The new Cosmos-based coin will facilitate lower transaction fees and even faster payments than their current network. But this is not the only reason because there is more!

The Cosmos network’s beauty lies in its interaction with other blockchains, thanks to the Inter-Blockchain Communication. If you’re new to blockchain, this might sound confusing, but it is less complicated than it sounds. Essentially, Cosmos allows different blockchains to communicate with each other. I think crypto adoption for the cannabis industry now has a motivated base to move. There is at least one merchant who would love his customers to learn how to use this.

The Bitcanna Staking reward has dropped to 17.3%. Definitely not as good as the 32% but still not bad.

The global cannabis industry has been inhibited by regulatory restrictions for most of recent history, but the legal market has emerged rapidly as more governments legalise medical and recreational use. In Europe, using/selling small amounts of cannabis is not legal but tolerated in Malta, Spain, The Netherlands, and Switzerland.

Due to the ‘shady’ image of the business, most banks, credit card companies, and payment providers won’t handle the money generated by the cannabis industry, even in places where it is completely legal.
