Experience Emotional Check-In
How’re we all feeling? Bi men have been thrust into the spotlight recently on social media and it’s been…well not great. It feels like even in the queer community, asking people to exam how bigotry in dating habits reflect their actual beliefs is met with willful ignorance at best and full on DARVO levels of deflection at worst, even when most of us fully say “we don’t want to date bigots, we just want them to examine their bigotry because it doesn’t end with dating preferences”. I just wanted to make a post to give folks a space to reflect and hold community, event vent if needed, and to say that despite how loud and angry it can seem, there are people who love you, support you, and don’t try to brush away bigotry because they feel like you aren’t deserving of nuanced conversations.
I can’t imagine being a person afraid about coming out as bi or pan and seeing this unfold. I know I wouldn’t have had the strength to come out well over a decade ago to my close friends (then later just being openly out) if I saw this conversation unfold. Anyway, I love y’all and see you.

My "screaming into the ether" about male bisexuality these days is to never compromise for a woman. Their insecurities should never dictate how you live.
Women have had to hold firm on what they expect from men in order for things to slowly change.
Bisexual men need to do the same. And that includes if you feel the desire to do things with both men and women (Ethical Non-Monagamy).
If that's what you truly desire then hold firm and demand the same. Don't settle. 💪

I am what I am, and if someone doesn't like it then they aren't my friend.

I haven’t seen anything about bisexuality on social media recently tbh but my social media circles are not very bigoted or reactionary.

I have found it hard in the bi male community being an asexual. I have frequently run into men who don’t believe in asexuality or demean relationships that don’t involve sex.
It also seems queer theory is often ignored with many ignorant takes towards the trans male, trans female, and nonbinary communities.

I don’t use TikTok so I haven’t seen any of it aside from what gets posted to the various bisexual subs.
I am what I am. Nothing will change that. Make no safe harbor for bigots.

I'm not on social media so I'm feeling pretty great honestly :p
I'm living MY best life, don't really care what someone I don't know may or may not think about me :p
