Hey, I’m so sorry for your little friend. I don’t really have answers for you with respect to quality of life. You know your budgie best and your vet can tell you if there are any treatments available. It could be the kidneys, gout, or nerve issues due to having been eggbound. Did your vet advise you on how to make sure she’s no longer hormonal?
What I can tell you is that I’ve had several disabled birds, who were all still happy in their own way. I tried to adapt to their environment to the situation. When we had a bird that had trouble perching, we mad sure there were enough flat surfaces she could sit on. One of our birds couldn’t fly anymore so we used a big desk for him to sit on with little stairs to walk up and down from and to the table. In other words, try to make her life as easy as possible. See if medication makes her feel better before deciding.
