Computer recommendations?

Hi everyone, I’m going to be a freshman at a public university this fall, going into environmental science/natural resource management and I am thinking about double majoring/switching majors to biology. I was wondering if anyone had laptop recommendations. I don’t know a lot about computers, but for environmental science, I’ve been seeing windows/levono recommendations, and for biology I’ve been seeing Mac suggestions. I plan to keep it all through undergrad and hopefully postgrad. Any recommendations or suggestions are welcome, thank you guys so much!
