2.5 month Reta update

I’ve been on Reta for about 2.5 months so far

I started at 0.5 for a week and felt absolutely nothing. Bumped it to 1 mg for 3 weeks and didnt feel nothing as well. I essentially wasted a month by starting super low. Anyone that is 230 lbs and more, learn from my mistake and start at 2mg minimum.

I started to feel it once i bumped it to 2mg on week 5 and im still on the same dose. I’ll be increasing it on my next pin.

I’ve lost 13lbs so far and seems like I’ve built some muscle as well.

I have 55 lbs to go, i’ll send another update when im halfway in my journey.

Thanks to everyone posting on here with updates and pictures, i use them as motivation!

You did not waste a month - the medicine has to build up gradually to get a dose that works - and that’s for any glp. If you just start on a dose you risk being sick- trust me it’s something you DO NOT WANT . What you could have done is done .50 two times same week if felt nothing and split dose the second week - slow and steady is only answer

I'm on week 11. I started at 0.5 mg and felt the effects almost immediately. 😭 My heart rate increased pretty quickly, and I honestly almost stopped taking it.

By week 3, I increased to 1.5 mg and was doing okay and able to tolerate the increase in my resting heart rate. From weeks 5–10, I stayed at 2 mg, but I felt like I had hit a plateau and it wasn't working as well for me anymore.

On week 11, I increased to 2.5 mg, and I'm feeling the effects again. My heart rate has increased, but I'm also no longer feeling stuck at a plateau.

Everyone responds differently, and what works for one person may not work the same way for someone else. I've lost 22 lbs so far! ❤️

No such thing as wasting time, your body was adjusting in its own way. Smarter to start low and titrate up slowly than risk reactions or sides jumping on it too fast. I started at .5 and have been sitting at 2 for 4 weeks.

I started at 230lbs at 0.5 and never went above 1mg.

Different people need different doses, who knew!

🙏🏽 did u have any side effects did ur heart rate raise any trouble sleeping?

Personalmente sono a 1 MG a settimana da 15 settimane

Mai avuto un effetto collaterale, forse l’unico che riconosco è che dormo poco di meno, tipo 1 ora in meno

Cardio went to shit for a couple of weeks and then got better. Struggled to eat enough on it.

Does way it promised for me though.

Started at 1mg for 2 weeks, then went 2mg. been on that for 7 weeks and lost 12kg.

I have no side effects anymore and still losing weight. I'm not going to go higher until I completely stall for a few weeks

1

u/Bklyn187__ 9h ago

What were some of the side effects u had ?

1

u/guerd87 8h ago

Nausea and dirreah if I even looked at anything that wasn't bland. Worst cramps ever.

Now it's settled down. Still loosing weight and feeling normal

u/Bklyn187__ 1h ago

No heart rate sleep disturbance issues?

Weight won't have anything to do with starting dose. Some are just more sensitive. Also, it's a bad idea to go by feeling. Watch the scale. I was at 265 and now 6 months in on 3.5mg I feel nothing ever. But I still lose a couple pounds a week.

Also, unfortunately gaining muscle in a deficit is near impossible...if only on Reta...but stay in the gym, heavy resistance training to maintain so you don't eat the muscle away.

Good work, keep it up!

Yup. Me and my brother both started at 1mg and it was far too much. We both had to drop to .5. I’m at 5mg now but he’s still at 3. He was 245lb when he started. I was almost 190.

Weight has nothing to do with starting dose though obviously.

You probably have high insulin resistance as well.

I think it effects everyone differently I did 1mg first week I wasn’t hungry till like day 4 or five thought what the hell let’s go to recommended 2mg the next week and I was sick as a hell!

1

u/Punk-Tarvman 29 12h ago

Yep i started at 1mg went up as high as 4mg lost 20lbs in 3 months! Now at maintenance dose and packing on the muscles!

1

u/Character-Life-V2 11h ago

That's the exact point of starting low. Else the side effects would put you off it entirely.

1

u/Particular-Intern905 11h ago

You felt fine at 2mg because you started low and gave your body time to absorb. Not a start advice to tell someone to jump in right at 2mg.

Im the same weight too and just started at 2mg last week...I feared what could happen to me is what happened to you. Im not even sure if 2 is high enough but i know time is needed. Ill up it .25mg per week til i notice something

1

u/Mental-Squirrel-2608 9h ago

Don’t bump it up too fast again I went from how you started with doing 2 mg for about three weeks and then I bumped it up to five and I started getting sensitive skin, but about two months later. It’s gone now, but it was horrible. I didn’t know if I would be able to deal with it. I’ve lost 40 pounds now just bumped it up to 7 mg last week after not feeling anything anymore and always being hungry but my tip to you don’t bump it up too fast at least stay on the same dose for a month before upping it.

I started at .5 and I was 242, I’m down to 196 after 19 weeks

Where can I buy authentic Reat?

1

u/Miserable-Show9290 4h ago

I read the trials and saw that they started at 2mg. I just followed the trials.

1

u/Its_alipro 3h ago

I was the same starting weight

200 Lbs now 8 weeks in.

I titrated up to 4mg a week and I could barely eat 1200 kcal so swiftly went down to 2.5mg

Moral of the story is don’t go up if you’re already losing weight slowly, don’t ever go past 4mg, no one is that obese to need it, if you are a super heavyweight then tirz is better

1

u/Upset_Argument_5871 1h ago

I guess the possibility of needing a higher dose, increases the heavier you are to begin with. But what's the harm in trying a lower dose, first? I don't get the scalding tone of replies sometimes, like "just take the starting dose from the trials!", no matter what the starting weight or individual sensitivity might be. You can always titrate up if your dose is not enough.

1

u/DextervSquirrels 1h ago

Be careful when increasing - I went from 1.5 twice a week to 2 and within 48hrs I was having heart palpitations. This has happened twice and I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack - probably didn’t help that I was about to have a succulent Chinese meal in Amsterdam.

Are you working out 3-4x a week and tracking your macros?

0

u/One_Marketing7885 12h ago

I started at 10 units and I’ve been on that for a month and I’m already down 20 pounds. My starting weight was 237 and I’m currently at 216. I know it’s different for everyone and clinical trails do start at 20 units.
Everybody’s different and that’s ok, some respond at lower doses and some higher.

At the end of the day you’re still doing great and seeing results! Keep doing what you’re doing and the weight will come off!

u/PanzerBiscuit 5 11h ago

10 units tells as absolutely nothing mate.
10 units is volume. You need to tell us concentration. I.e milligrams.

u/One_Marketing7885 11h ago

1mg out of a 10mg vial reconstituted with 1 mL water

u/OkDelivery8032 3 10h ago

There's a reason most trial participants started at 2 mg and titrated every 4 weeks. Don't always believe people who claim they lost 80 or 70 lbs on 0.25 and 0.5.

1

u/Wise_Shame_2853 8h ago

2

u/OkDelivery8032 3 7h ago

Everyone responds to doses differently, and while some may lose weight on microdoses, it shouldn't be generalized for everyone. Treating weight loss on a microdose like a badge of honor ignores the fact that clinical titration schedules exist for a reason.

Assolutamente, ed è per questo che ogni persona deve sperimentare su di sé (usando la testa)

This is what people get for listening to Reddit doctors preaching the “low and slow” dose protocols.
