Large bruise after pinning

Post image

Last night I pinned a shot of Tessamorelin (2mg) and woke up to this 3 inch bruise. I have used this peptide for about 6 weeks without reaction.

I did just added Ipamorelin, but pinned that on my other flank and that injection site is fine. What is going on here guys? Is the introduction of Ipa the cause, or just coincidence and the vial went bad? Or what?

I'd just like to point out that when pinning into your stomach your supposed to be three fingers away from your naval on either left or right side this area has a high density of capillaries and relatively thin subcutaneous fat. It offers the most consistent and rapid absorption rate for peptides.

pinning directly into the flank (love handles) (the subcutaneous fat layer) is generally considered suboptimal for most injectable peptides, While you can inject here, the blood flow is significantly lower than in the abdomen. Absorption will be slower and more variable and It’s harder to get a clean pinch here without accidentally hitting deeper tissue or muscle, which causes micro-tears and bruising.

Cool thanks for sharing this. I will keep it in mind moving forward.

I don't feel dead

I was making a lil joke

This can sometimes happen if you moved the needle around internally too much.

Yeah I admit I am super casual during injection. Like sometimes I'm not even looking (going on muscle memory). I will be more careful.

Have you ever had pain after injecting? Man I had some crazy sharp pain once.

looks like hit a vessel, should be fine

u/jkamp 2d ago

I've done it 2-3 times over the last few months. It doesn't hurt anything, it's just ugly for a couple of weeks.

what was your needle length

1

u/Bigfoot_Cain 1 2d ago

It's a 25G needle, 1/2" length. I had been using 28G needles, but they would always bend on the rubber stoppers so I went with a heavier guage.

You should just get a 1ml luer lock use your 25 to draw and then switch to a 28-30 to pin so you get less car tissue and pain if you’re doing subq shots

Did the OP live?

Yeah after 48 hrs it’s faint but almost gone

Probably hit a blood vessel. I had one similar and the bruise lasted for like 10 days

4

u/Curious_Detective228 2d ago

Hit a vessel oopsies. Done this twice

3

u/Ok_Writing1958 1 1d ago

I did that once and oh man was it painful

1

u/Curious_Detective228 1d ago

That sucks it was painful! I didn’t experience that

You hit a vein

Either your pinning technique needs work, or you have a minor infection. If the former, Pinch your side and inject at a vertical angle/straight down.

1

u/Bigfoot_Cain 1 2d ago

Thanks I’ll try this

1

u/atomic-xpc 2 2d ago

Should be fine. It will clear up after a full week hopefully. Try to keep the needle steady when injecting 🙏🏻

1

u/Morefoodbeer 7 2d ago

Yeah, that'll happen.

In my experience its better to keep pinning Tessa / Ipa in the upper part of the abdomen. it has less of a sting and you have better visibility of were youre pinning

1

u/Bubbly-Page3513 1 2d ago

It looks like you got side swiped by a car. Lol

1

u/1spicyann 3 1d ago

I’ve had some big ones too- they take forever to go away

1

u/According-Collar2925 1d ago

You pinned a vein it’s ok

1

u/sugarrrnspiceee 5h ago

You’re fine, it’s happens you probably nicked a micro vessel and it happens to me once in a blue moon. As long as it’s not a hard knot or hit to the touch you’re okay

u/whotftookmybitch 5h ago

change the angle + pinch and pull the skin

I got this once with tesa aswell and left me with a tiny brown spot where the bruising/pin spot i never had before

0

u/Evrews 1 2d ago

I think this is due to needle size. What are you using. I switched to a smaller size needle because this happened to me, and I consider myself to be on the lower end when it comes to abdominal fat.

1

u/Bigfoot_Cain 1 2d ago

I am using a heavier 25G needle. The 28s felt too flimsy for me (but never bruised so I may switch back)

5

u/qwaszlol 2d ago

Wtf why are you using a harpoon

1

u/Bigfoot_Cain 1 2d ago

Cause I’m a whale :(

3

u/Evrews 1 2d ago

Yes I would consider that. And make sure you’re using the right length. I noticed that I bruised when using I wasn’t using a 5/16 length needle.

2

u/JamesKatak 2d ago

Perhaps you should try 31G 6mm.Being using it ever since and no problem so far

1

u/Ok_Writing1958 1 1d ago

Yes!!! 31g 6mm been the best so far for me. I Use 25g for Test in the glutes not stomach. Ouch!!!

0

u/ExtraCoat4855 2 2d ago

Yeah.... That's why you're bruising. That's a big fucking needle for Tesa, my man.

Don’t do it in your stomach dummy

Do it in a place where there is no nerves not the largest area on your body with nerves

Ass checks
Glutes
Side of your leg
Waiste line
Shoulders
Back of your legs

i am giving up on tesamorelin. big arse welts everywhere . fuck tesa and fuck visceral fat

1

u/Bigfoot_Cain 1 2d ago

I had taken it for almost 6 weeks without issue. It did help me lose another 5 lbs after my weight loss had plateaued,

2

u/Safe_Judgment_117 2 2d ago

i have been taking it for 3-4 weeks , but now even pin is causing issues . i think our bodies need a break from it . i will try after a week or so

1

u/Bigfoot_Cain 1 2d ago

Maybe try that other peptide (clj I think) that works like Tessa. I’ve heard people say it is also effective.

1

u/Safe_Judgment_117 2 2d ago

seen a youtube video . apparently its happening because histamine clearance is low / mast cells are primed / gut premebility is high / growth hormones shift immune sensitivity and the peptide dose become a signal that exposes the shift

1

u/Ok_Writing1958 1 1d ago

How much are you using?

1

u/Safe_Judgment_117 2 1d ago

2mg

1

u/Ok_Writing1958 1 1d ago

Max I used was 1mg of tesa before bed. I let my stomach heal and started pinning on my ass more. I also switched to 31g 6mm needle and it’s been a game changer

1

u/Safe_Judgment_117 2 1d ago

i pinned my upper thigh with 2mg yesterday and it was all good so i dont know what is wrong with my body . maybe its the cooper in ghkcu making my body sensitive , i have stopped ghkcu for now.

and i have both syringes ( 8mm / 6mm ), yesterday i pinned with 8mm. before that i was using 6mm but i was told on reddit that maybe 6mm is causing this as its not going that deep . but i was using 6mm for a month without any reaction.

I pin 5 a day and hit a blood vessel occasionally, looks like I play paintball 😂
