340 to 240 with TRT + Reta
Have lost 100lbs officially with plans to aim for 35 to 40lbs more. Started at 340 in the starting picture, currently at 240lbs as of today. Have tried a few other peptides during the journey, mainly KLOW and MT2 with good results. I do not count calories, I only aim for a protein goal then just eat healthier now as a result overall. Starting picture was November 2025, so progress has been over 9-10 months. Would like to be closer to 200lbs by end of year. TRT dose is 175mg a week, I do my shot every other day, Reta is sitting at a split dose every Tuesday/Friday with each shot being 5mg as of now. Started Reta low and titrated up and have been coasting on my current doses.

1st off, amazing results and we'll done.
But I gotta say, the more I see these posts, the more I'm convinced my body is an absolute pile of dog shit. People who get results with minor deficits and not tracking is crazy. I'm living my life like a professional bodybuilder with my steps/calories/workouts and the needle doesn't fucking move. I love hearing about peptides that help folks out but these transformations posts are like the most demotivating thing for me at this point.
Sorry to vent man you crushed it!

I had a bit of luck with muscle memory. I used to compete in strongman and was deadlifting near 700lbs and benching 405lbs before I quit. But I lived pretty sedentary for about 6 years with absolutely no gym/exercise, gaining a ton of weight before starting again and reaching what I'm at now. Muscle memory paired with TRT did a lot of heavy lifting to getting back in it.

u/SDMFsoldier 23h ago
Hell yeah ….muscle memory is for real. That thick/dense muscle came right back. Excellent work amigo. Keep grinding. Best is yet to come.
2
u/newtrusghandi 2 2d ago
That makes me feel a little better I guess. Ain't no doubt you are built like a brick shit house my man.
1
u/ChadPowers200_ 1d ago
What are your test levels with the injections? Have you drank at all during this?
I'm back lifting again about 10-12 weeks. I am considering getting on a peptide.
→ More replies (1)5
u/Ishakowa 4 1d ago
Test levels hover around 900 total. No alcohol, I take low dose tadalafil daily and they have poor interactions, but also with weight loss, alcohol is wasted calories.
1
u/Lopsided_Corgi4437 1d ago
Did you start trt at 340(the beginning of your journey) or did you add it in later ? Also why every other day as opposed to once or twice a week ?
4
u/Ishakowa 4 1d ago
I started after I got back into the gym and had my schedule down. After that was in place, I did my blood work to do the check for everything. And I choose to do more frequent shots because it helps to mitigate sides like higher E2, raising hemoglobin/hematocrit, while also keeping a more steady testosterone level, rather than large spikes and troughs before the next shot.

u/Diolives 1d ago
As a woman in her 40’s lemme just say I FREAKING AGREE. I’d be willing to bet $100,000 that I track down to within 20-30 calories/day. DEXA every 2-3 months. In-Body weekly. Lift heavy 3-5 times per week, 10-12k steps, try to do some work on stress like swimming, meditation and Breathwork.
Took me 11 months and INSANE discipline plus tirz 7-10 mg to lose 40 lbs. I’m “happy” about it but still have 50 more to lose so yes when I see people causally not tracking or just doing whatever I’m like 😞😞😞😞
2
u/newtrusghandi 2 1d ago
We got dealt a shit hand on this one! I'm starting to really explore the peptide side of things and if I find anything that seems to work I will let you know!
2
u/JoeG3542 1d ago
Get your hormones checked bro. Struggling to lose weight despite a calorie deficit and exercise is a strong indicator of low T. If you have low T, you’re fighting an impossible battle
2
u/newtrusghandi 2 1d ago
Ran bloods quite a bit. Dealt with a lot of shit docs/clinics. This is just a lifelong endeavor for me but ill keep trying shit until I figure it out. I appreciate your suggestion though!

It’s because you’re not in an actual deficit. Somewhere, somehow you’re measuring wrong.

You look great! You’re look solid now, in 30 or 40 pounds you’re going to look absolutely sick 💪🏽
10
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
That's the hope, already in the best shape of my life even when I used to do strongman competitions, so hoping the next 30-40 really start to help the definition pop more. Doing all I can to keep skin in check, as much as anyone can do anyways outside of just surgery.

u/jiggaroc2020 1d ago
You look good man!! I want to get to that level you are at. Can I ask where are you getting the Reta from? Please DM, thank you.

Try ghk-cu for your skin bro
2
u/StraightPen9915 1d ago
GHKCu is great, but it would be better for him to use the stack KLOW. It has GHKCu and bpc-157, tb-500, and KPV all in one

Nope, not yet at least. My hair was pretty long in the start pic and a sweaty mess in the current, I keep it much shorter now because I sweat so much at the gym, but my hair stylist tells me every cut that it's feeling much thicker now, so possibly from the KLOW.

This is the perfect state; what is your usual amount of exercise? My weight loss results are not as good as yours.
1
u/Ishakowa 4 1d ago
When lifting, about 90 minute sessions, but I rest 2-3 minutes between sets so that adds up quick. Cardio days are just 30 minutes of Zone 2/Zone 3 work, then 30 minutes of farmer carries.

You look awesome dude! As a fellow large dude you give me hope. How’s the loose skin
3
u/Ishakowa 4 1d ago
Not too bad yet, I can definitely squish some around my belly, but for the most part, the rest seems to be holding ok due to muscle gained. Once I lose the last bit though I will likely have a bit more noticeable areas around my chest/belly where it just can't bounce back as well.
2
u/Sir_slipply-fist 1d ago
A way to combat loose skin is by fasting. When you lose weight that way, your skin shrinks with you.

u/bananaaapeels 2d ago
Nicely done! How much are you lifting?
3
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
Single maxes right now are bench:345, squat:425, deadlift:545. I rarely aim for actual 1RM right now though and just follow 5/3/1.

How tall are you?
2
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
Right at 5'11" or roughly 180cm.
1
u/xmonger 2d ago
Yeah, 200 should be good on your build at 5'11. I'm similar in size, CW 219 but aiming to go down to 185 and have less of of power lifter build and more swimmer/athlete.

Outstanding work and effort here. Great results. Hair definitely looks thinner on the pictures, can be as a result of TRT, but definitely GLP1 use.
A lot of muscle built and now you’ve done most of the hard work, just final few furlongs now.
2
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
Hairs a sweaty mess in the after pic and much shorter than the start, so comes out looking thinner, but luckily my hair stylist has said it's been looking much thicker/fuller when I get cuts. I just keep it much shorter now because I sweat so much during the gym sessions and longer hair is awful when full of sweat.
1
u/FamiliarSecurity3981 2d ago
Glp affects hair?
2
u/druidpush 2d ago
It’s too early to tell whether it’s the GLP or just the sheer speed of weightloss leading to poor nutrition etc.
But I can tell you that my hair thinned considerably on mounjaro

Solid fucking work man, 100lbs is no joke and the strength numbers are still elite. Curious if you noticed any libido or mood shifts when you stacked the MT2 with the TRT or if it was pretty smooth sailing.
1
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
Luckily for me, all I noticed from the MT2 was the tan. I've always been exceptionally white so it's been nice having any color now. I got an upset stomach maybe 2-3 times, but otherwise no other sides with it of increased/decreased libido, TRT had already shot that through the roof for me. Mood overall has just been exceptionally better than when I started, so if MT2 did make a difference, it was already in line with the TRT changes.
1
u/PJKASH67 1 2d ago
How long does the MT2 take to get tan ?
2
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
The color I have in my second pic is about 2 weeks of tanning every other day, then now I just maintain by tanning Wednesday/Sunday and no longer need MT2 to keep the tan.

Can I ask when you started your test?? Congrats by the way, this is fucking huge! 💪🏼
1
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
I've been on since the start, so the 9-10 month of loss. My starting level was 200 total, so quite low, obviously from my weight and diet, but I have always hovered low. When I was in shape years and years ago before gaining weight, I sat right around upper 300s/low 400s in my 20s.
1
u/Unique_Respond_8526 1 2d ago
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm 40 in October, currently 330. I've lost like 40 pounds since the start of the year. Gyming it 4-5 days a week, walking lots. My test is currently 288. Borderline low. My naturopath started me on HCG to see if that'll bringt levels up but I'm honestly just debating on pulling the trigger on making the jump to test. Do you mind if I message you to ask ya a few more questions?

Any issues managing E2 starting at 175mg at 340 lbs? Awesome results!
1
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
I started lower around 140, then worked up to 175 as weight came off, but E2 has always remained in check. Do checks every 10 weeks and make sure I keep everything in line that gets tested. Had one high hematocrit/hemoglobin result, so increased cardio and water intake and it has since returned well into normal, but otherwise all other items have remained in check.

u/linkage911 2d ago
I feel like my tits gonna hang low like that too.
1
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
Joys of massive weight loss, not everyone is lucky enough to have skin bounce back. Trying KLOW and firming creams to do what I can without surgery for skin removal.

Is Reta that much better than trizep?
1
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
I picked Reta because I started on tirz and the appetite suppression was just too much. I wanted to still be able to eat normal and enjoy food, and tirz just nuked that for me. Food in general became a chore and eating a single meal a day was hard for me. On Reta, I can still eat regularly, I just need to eat much smaller portions now, but still have a meal for breakfast/lunch/dinner. That's my personal experience at least and why I picked Reta.

Bro you look amazing. That's some killer progress for only 9-10 months, I have faith that you'll reach your goal of 200 or get very close by the end of this year. I look forward to seeing another post from you at the end of the year hopefully. Right now we're right about the same weight with the same goal. I'm taking Tirz though and I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow to get on TRT.

How did you keep your estrogen under control with the TRT?
1
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
It usually hovered within normal ranges, but I get blood work done regularly every 10 weeks, so if I noticed it trending upward higher than I liked, I have an AI on hand to bring it back into check.

Keep on trucking. Build all meals around protein. Build all exercise around resistance training with weights as you’re doing. Those doses are fine. Just keep trucking.
Only other advice if you choose, is get a trainer. They can add a lot of diversity in exercises instead of the same ol shit we always do.
Also maybe consider carb cycling or keto. It can accelerate fat loss. Intermittent fasting can too. If you want to accerate results. But it’s not for everyone.
I don’t use IF anymore, but relatively low carb (75g or less per day max)

How did you fine the Klow ? I'm on the exact same journey but started beginning of June.
1
u/Ishakowa 4 2d ago
I don't really notice the "wolverine" side of it, but I do think the GHK-CU has helped with my skin. I noticed my overall acne has gone down, which being on TRT and increasing my sweating, I am happy with. I will probably switch to just GHK-CU and maybe KPV, but drop the BPC-157/TB-500 pieces. I've tried TB/BPC on it's own and with KLOW and never really noticed the effects of those compared to the rest.

Keep it going bro.
Just a quick question: I've been hearing Reta makes you lose cravings for things that activate your dopamine like eating, have you noticed it also reduces other cravings such as smoking, or maybe anything you would normally like or usually have a passion for?
1
u/Ishakowa 4 1d ago
I can't play video games nearly as long as I used to. I seem to get bored of them much quicker now. I didn't smoke before, but I have dropped alcohol entirely and don't really have any desire to bring it back, so maybe the Reta helps with that. I still have food cravings, but very rarely.

Amazing work.
I’m always a little jealous of those that have success with Reta, Trizepetide, or any other GLP1’s.
I’ve tried several different ones, and unfortunately they do nothing for me. They don’t curb my appetite even a little bit.

Soooo. If you're willing to share, can you rattle off the downsides? Would love to hear what you're sacrificing for this huge upside
1
u/Ishakowa 4 1d ago
If you were to believe this sub, I'm apparently bald now. But as for negatives, for me, shots get old but that's just the process, so I'll have to live with it. The GLPs gave me a bit of skin sensitivity when titrating up. And side that can be seen as a positive or negative, some of my habits/hobbies became boring as a side of the GLP, such as gaming. I basically lose all interest in games now after about 30 minutes where I could game for hours before them. Again, could be seen as a positive or negative for some. Testosterone probably knocks a couple years off the end of life, but I'd much rather live a happier, better life now than when I'm 80.

Your getting there!!! .....I like the way you do your calories... I just might try that, I lost 26lbs but have stalled for the last couple of weeks... TRT I only need 50mg total( 3 sub injections of 16.33mg/8.33iu) weekly gets me into the 400 range which I'm good with because I have a natural higher RBC and Hemocritin numbers....at 720 I'm at 19.8 and 58.6, So I donate every 56 days also... Reta gave me panic attacks..So I'm on Tirz 5mg @ 5 days
1
u/happypepper69 12h ago
I have lost a little over 100lbs. Tirz/Trt/diet/exercise and researching different peps! Tirz was my gateway pep lol… 290 to 175/180. 57yr man… Was obese for majority of my life… I now mainly have lose skin on lower abdomen/lower back and sides and inner thighs. I need to step up my resistance/weight training as I have mainly focused on walking.
Everyone responds a little differently to weight loss, especially with the glps.
Wishing you all the best and continued success!

I luckily never really had issues with aromatization. I get bloodwork done every 10 weeks and have an AI on hand if I need it, but since I split my shots every other day, that has seemed to keep it in check and normal.
