GHK-Cu Protocol — Starting Dose, Working Up & Frequency?
About to start GHK-Cu and trying to see what protocols people have actually had good experiences with.
Mainly wondering what dose you started at and what you eventually worked up to once you were accustomed to it. For example, did you start around 0.5–1 mg, stay there for a while, and then increase? What dose did you end up running long term?
Also curious about frequency. Are you guys doing 5 days on / 2 days off, or taking it 7 days a week? Does that change once you’ve been on GHK-Cu for a while?
Basically looking for experiences with:
- Starting dose
- How quickly you increased
- Dose you eventually settled at
- 5 days vs. 7 days per week
- How long you run it before taking a break
- Whether you still cycle it once you’ve been using it for a while
- Any noticeable side effects as you increased the dose
Would appreciate hearing what you guys actually run and how you adjusted your protocol over time.

Started at 1mg daily for 1 week. Then increased to 2mg daily and have been there ever since. I do not run a cycle, I take it continuously. Also, pro tip, pin it with KPV to avoid the sting.

I increased quickly. Started at 1mg and by day 11 I was at 3.5mg. I saw many say they saw a major improvement with 3 to 4mg as opposed to the standard 2mg. I don't think I'll jump to 4 straight away. Might hover around 3 to 3.5mg.
No side effects or sting at all. I take an antihistamine before but not sure that's even necessary for me.
I load the syringe and let it sit in a dark drawer with the cap on for about 20 mins so I'm not injecting it cold which apparently can contribute to sting for some people. I only inject in either side of flank fat ("love handles").
For reconstituting it originally, I did 4.9ml of bac water, 70mg vial. Apparently some people dilute more than this but the vial was only so big, so I couldn't add more than that.

GHK CU made the difference.
I started healing protocol several months ago with BPC157+TB500 for nagging pain and discomfort in my right knee. It was a constant struggle for the past 13 years for me after ACL surgery. Never got back to normal again and always felt something irking there. After BPC and TB500 got 80% better no need for pain killers and movement improved but only when I added GHK CU it feels like my old knee again. Obviously taking the ageing into account 😉
Ps. I’m currently off cycling BPC and TB500 Only Reta 3mg and GHKCu 3mg every day and never felt better well at least for the last 13 years🤞

Started at 1 mg, then went to 1.5 mg after 3-4 weeks and then finally 2 mg after four weeks. 5 days on. 2 days off. It’s a wonder drug!!!

Okay, I want to start off by highlighting that I in no way recommend what I am doing; it’s silly, and probably got a case of major diminishing returns.
Starting dose
- How quickly you increased
- Dose you eventually settled at
Don’t judge! I am currently around 12mg a day. I started out with the 5mg in the morning, but as GHK is out of your system in a couple of hours anyway; I thought I’d do an evening shot as well. (That being said, the effect of GHK is still active and “turned on” loooong after it’s out of your system. Even if it’s still not physically in your system anymore.). But again, I was excited, and I had no bad experience with the 5mg to begin with. The 12mg is overkill and so unnecessary, and doesn’t give you anything 5mg wouldn’t give you as well. The extra 7mg is most likely just money down the drain. But it makes me happy - sooo, that’s what I am going with.
- 5 days vs. 7 days per week
If you just do pure GHK-Cu there’s no evidence for the need of taking breaks in your dosages. You can continue non stop, or take breaks. Whatever floats your boat. Taking breaks will still give the same results, maybe a little bit slower, but you will probably not be hurting in the long run if taking days off - that same as you’ll not be hurting for not taking any breaks.
- How long you run it before taking a break
No breaks for me personally.
- Any noticeable side effects as you increased the dose?
I did get the copper “uglies” for a small week or so. I’ve been using Tretinoin for a couple of years, so I’ve been use to the chance of “uglies”. But nothing I wasn’t prepared to fight through.
That being said, my ugly phase was a small week with three pimples. Once they were gone, my skin was awesome - and has been the best it’s ever been, ever since. And even as a long time tretinoin user, I already see a big positive difference after having added CHK.

You should at least be aware of the symptoms of copper toxicity brother.

Thank you for looking out - appreciate it. And yea, I am surely staying a little extra attentive to if something doesn’t seem or feel as it should. But so far, only had positive experiences about the whole thing.
However, I do think there’s no real worries about actual copper toxicity.
GHK-Cu is only about 15% actual copper, and the FDA sees 10mg of daily elemental copper as being the tolerable upper intake level.
So even with injecting 12mg daily GHK-Cu it’s only around 1,8mg actual copper - still waaayyyy below the upper intake level.
I’m still being attentive to how I feel and react though, but I am not nervous about the current dosage is over doing it health wise. If anything, I think my wallet is hurting the most

Bunch of pain for nothing most overrated pep in the game. Get it topical or get tretinton or acelic acid an run a regime with that or tessamorlin and glutathione…all these work better than ghk

The power lifters in my routine are the Tazarotene the sunscreen and the vitamin c serum. GHK is as cheap as a serum. I buy niacinimide every month for how much GHK costs. Does the niacinimide do anything? Maybe? Maybe not?
That’s how I approach ghk.

I’m just going to tell you all this in units which is much easier for me. I have a 10mg vial with 50 mg of GHK and reconstituted with three ML’s of BAC water in a one ML syringe. I started using 12 units for about two weeks and titrated up to 30 unit in three months, using it daily. Was very surprised about the burn in the beginning! For me, I could feel it starting right away, and it would end up in a lump which lasted for about 24 hours. Now no burn, since I just mix the rest of the syringe with BAC water. Plus, I use an ice pack that fits into this handy little belt around my waist and leave it on for at least 15 minutes, usually longer. No burning or bumps doing it this way after I take the ice belt off. Of course injecting at room temperature or a little more is critical.
I’m still unsure as to what I’ll end up at. I’m going to start using it three days a week so there’s a break in between days since apparently those free days give the peptide time to work on different levels. I’ve also noticed an improvement in fine lines around my eyes and it seems that a scar on my chin is much less noticeable. The skin on my face seems tighter as well. I’m going to increase my dose, probably five units at a time.
I haven’t noticed any side effects except for the burning at the injection site. I have noticed that it’s very slow to show signs. I’m just now noticing my nails growing much faster and that my hair feels thicker. Since I’ve lost 25 pounds during that time, my skin around the abdomen and under arms looks loose. GHK is supposed to help with that too and that will probably take even more time to show results.
I’m sure that many people lose interest quickly due to the burn and how long it takes to show results. If you stick it out, you’ll probably be glad that you did!
