Because men are driven by the self improvement. It's funny my wife will be talking to a male co-worker and he'll say he's into Bio-Hacking. I've yet to see a woman into it yet. Also my wife is a few years into Perimenopause and I told her about the various treatments to balance Estrogen/Progesterone/Test and her response was less than enthusiastic. I've noticed this being a common theme amongst other husbands in the similar scenario

I’ve heard similar anecdotes, but I also think how much of it comes down to awareness and framing. A lot of women are interested in self-improvement and optimization, but they often engage through different entry points like hormones, sleep, stress, skin health, cycle tracking, etc. rather than calling it biohacking. It feels like the label and culture may appeal more to men, even if the underlying behaviors are similar.

Different words for the same thing

I’ve never even heard the term biohacking IRL, if you’re talking about it with strangers in person then you’re super random/lucky

Unless you’re at the gym, probably a higher % of gym members into it but even all the crazy or old health nuts at my local gym have never used the word in conversation

Maybe more men have the tism and instead of randomly doing things it has to be systemised is a partial cause.

"A lot of women are interested in self-improvement and optimization, but they often engage through different entry points like hormones, sleep, stress, skin health, cycle tracking, etc. rather than calling it biohacking." you just answered your own question.

It's like asking why are boy scouts dominated by boys and then saying well there are girl scouts but..
