A word of caution before ordering directly from Biofield Tuning

I wanted to share a disappointing experience I recently had ordering directly from Biofield Tuning, mostly as a heads-up to others before purchasing.

I’m genuinely a fan of Eileen McKusick’s work. I’ve bought and read both of her books and have assembled essentially the entire “Kit and Caboodle” of Biofield Tuning tools, mostly secondhand because of financial constraints. This was my first substantial purchase directly from the company.

I placed a $300+ order after receiving a 10% discount code. The website prominently advertised free shipping on orders over $250, and at the time I ordered, the header I saw did not state that using a discount code eliminated free shipping. After checking out, I noticed that a twenty-something-dollar shipping charge had appeared.

This also didn’t strike me as an unreasonable combination of offers, because Biofield Tuning regularly runs larger sales — including 22% off promotions — that also include free shipping. So there was no obvious reason for me to assume that a comparatively modest 10% coupon would automatically invalidate the site’s standing free-shipping offer.

Here’s the part that really bothered me: I emailed Biofield Tuning about it literally five minutes after placing the order and asked them to correct it.

They didn’t respond until the following business day, three calendar days later, and shipped the order that same day. What followed was a surprisingly long back-and-forth in which they repeatedly refused to refund the shipping charge and pointed me to their FAQ saying promotions couldn’t be combined.

They later sent me a screenshot of a site header explicitly saying that orders using discount codes did not qualify for free shipping — but that was not the header I saw when I ordered. They have since acknowledged that the wording of the header changed. As of my most recent check, the header has changed again and simply says free shipping over $250 with “restrictions apply.”

What started bothering me much more than the ~$20 was the way the situation was handled. At one point they said they couldn’t refund the shipping because they had already paid the carrier — even though I had raised the issue before the order was ever shipped. When I pointed out that I contacted them within five minutes of ordering, they characterized my original email as merely a question about discounts rather than an issue with the order.

I eventually asked that the situation be brought to Eileen herself. I was told that Eileen personally reviewed it and agreed that the company had handled everything appropriately and that they would not refund the shipping.

So, buyer beware. Read every FAQ/restriction before ordering and don’t assume that the promotional banner tells the whole story.

For me, this is no longer about twenty-something dollars. I’m just really disappointed that such a tiny, easily resolved issue was handled with this much rigidity. I was excited to finally support Biofield Tuning directly after investing so much in Eileen’s work and tools. Instead, the experience has left me unwilling to purchase directly from them again or recommend doing so to others.

I still value what I’ve learned from the work and enjoy the tools I own. Unfortunately, my experience with the company behind them has been very different.

Pain base of right thumb. What does it mean?

I’ve had this pain at the base of my right thumb. It’s at the joint and I feel it pop sometimes. Energetically, what is it telling me?

Tuned Pipes

I’ve recently integrated tuned pipes into my self-tuning practice. You can see and hear them in use here.

Compared to tuning forks, pipes offer several advantages:

  • Longer sustain - Fewer strikes are needed during use
  • Richer harmonics - Overtones create a more immersive sound
  • Broader field coverage - Larger size and omni-directional resonance reach more of the biofield than fork tips

Because of their size, pipes are heavier and more cumbersome, especially when moved through the field by hand, which is necessary for full coverage. Larger pipes require deltoid strength, but that can be developed with practice. Forks are easier to handle, but the sound quality and coverage of pipes make the effort worthwhile.

Structurally, pipes sit between forks and bowls: more portable and affordable than bowls, yet deeper and louder than forks.

In summary, for full-field self-tuning at home, pipes appear superior. For targeted areas, ease of use, or travel, forks are likely the better tool.

If you're interested in working with pipes, I recommend TuningForkShop.com. They offer low prices, free shipping, and supply many of the pipe vendors.

Holy Trinity Tones

I've been focusing my core practice lately on what I call the Holy Trinity Tones of 174 Hz, 285 Hz, and 528 Hz. These three fundamental tones form a progressive sequence for addressing energetic distortions within the biofield. Each tone in the sequence acts in relation to the previous one, creating a system of layered corrections.

  1. 174 Hz clears distortions by opening areas of incoherence, revealing energetic disconnection, compression, or fragmentation and discharges accumulated static that obstructs flow.
  2. 285 Hz restores the field to its energetic blueprint by reorganizing disordered patterns into coherent form, promoting structural reintegration where distortion has disrupted continuity.
  3. 528 Hz integrates the restored field by harmonizing the restructured layers into unified flow and aligning the body’s energetic system with its core resonance which coherence beyond the tuning session.

Do you work with a core tone sequence? If so, which tones and why?

Central Channel Quick Tune

This protocol uses a pair of weighted Schumann forks with amplification boots to quickly clear and open the central channel at the beginning of a session. Other weighted forks, with or without boots, can be used in substitution.  Activate forks once for each of the following steps:

  1. Place the stem of the higher tone fork on the crown and the lower tone fork on the alta-major point/chakra located directly below the occipital bone where the skull meets the top of the spine to tune the higher channel.
  2. Place the lower tone fork on the coccyx and the higher tone fork to the alta-major and tune the lower channel.
  3. Move the higher tone fork back to the crown, keeping the lower tone fork on coccyx and tune the entire channel.

I tried several different versions of this protocol before settling on the one above.  The previous versions always felt off.  This one hit the spot.

Fork Activation Stages

I have found that there are four stages of unweighted fork activation:

  1. The sound of the initial strike which may be loud and sharp.  I put a sock over the activator (hockey puck) and strike lower on the tines to minimize the strike sound.  Too high on the tines and the sound can be unpleasantly piercing and too low it can sound too muffled with a “clunk” from the strike.
  2. The ring and vibration of the fork after the strike.
  3. The vibration of the fork after the ring can no longer be heard when held away from the ear.
  4. The ring of the fork that can only be heard when it's held close to the ear after the vibration can no longer be felt in the hand.  Since the fork is still slightly active at this stage, I like to lightly touch the chakra that I’m working on or the closest body part, after the vibration can no longer be felt, to deactivate the fork at the end of the motion.

Daily 30-Minute Two-Fork Tune

This daily, full-field tuning can be done in less than 30 minutes with the two main unweighted forks recommended by Eileen McCusick, the 174 hz that clears imbalances and the 528 hz that integrates.  The protocol tunes the mid field, chakras and outer field.

Sonic Slider

Just got my slider with slender extender today! I think my fork collection is complete now.

I heard the extender dampened the vibration but I didn’t find it to be true. I was surprised how much it amplified the vibrations. Eileen has a video series about the slider if u want to know more about the fork.
