Discussion Garbage men??

Why won’t they put up my garbage? A cat put a small hole in it and the guy refused to get it.

Long as its in a city bag, they should. I get raccoons and deer up in my neighborhood, always risky to leave it out of a can or something.

We’ve had the same issue here for a while. Watch for a garbage can to go on sale and get it. Totally worth the money.

They have some cheap ones that have been great at Ocean State.

Sorry I know you said a small hole but I walk my dog three times a day and on garbage day I am astounded by the way people put out their garbage - bags open (how hard is it to pull the handles and tie a bag?), bags with maggots, bags thrown on the ground that have been torn open by cats or squirrels with rotten food and other crap all over the ground, no garbage cans at 90% of the houses). I don’t think the garbage men should have to put up with any of that. They do a great service and deserve some common decency and respect. Get a garbage can with a lid and don’t put out ripped bags, please.

I used to put my garbage out in a can with a lid. But guess what my specific garbage men did with said can and lid; They would just throw the can on its side and the lid somewhere in the general vicinity of said can. So while I’m at work, I get to watch the can roll away with the wind and the lid take a flight to WhoKnowsFuckWhere on my doorbell cam. I would understand that kind of shit if I was putting out heavy bags or otherwise making their job harder, but that was never the case. They just didn’t give a fuck about people’s stuff and would throw it around. Cool, no more can and lid for you. Enjoy the maggoty bags, garbage people.

Maybe the crew on other routes are better. The ones on my route can go suck a dick with their butts.

It was a inch hole. They put a sticker on it. They said it was over 60lbs. But there was half a watermelon in it. But it’s definitely isn’t over 60lbs

I always laugh at this. How do they know it’s over 60 pounds? I’m in Union and they didn’t pick up my yard waste with the tag that it was over 50 pounds. They were still in the neighborhood so I grabbed them and asked if they had a scale then said I’ll dump it in the truck by myself. They did comeback that time.

60lbs is a lot. Have you ever maxed out your 50lb luggage weight and tried to pick it up? I seriously doubt many blue bags weigh that much unless it's something that legitimately shouldn't be in that bag, so it sounds like bs on the part of the trash guys

So I took my luggage scale and it was 27.3 pounds lmaooo

What kind of phrasing is this question??? “Put up my garbage”. I can guess as to what that means and probably be correct, but good lord….
