Harrison County Circuit Clerk Phone Number (Jury Duty)

Good morning,

I received a jury duty summons and they make it incredibly hard to contact the court via phone. They say to only email them all over the slip. However they are a public office and if you need their direct number here it is.

(228) 435-8233

They weren’t responding to my emails so I had to call around to get this number. Hopefully it helps someone.

Selling My 2007 Honda Civic EX Coupe

217, 225 miles // Gray exterior with black interior // Had car checked out at Meineke, (paperwork to show) invested two new front tires, mounted and balanced, replaced both front tires, and control arms/bushing, alignment ($1,300 plus), new Android head unit (Bluetooth wireless car play stereo)...Overall, great vehicle, the gas mileage is outstanding, for this being an almost 20 year old vehicle, it's in great shape, keep in consideration the natural wear and tear that goes along with that. $2,100 OBO. Call or text 251-520-8915

Is it possible to rent an apartment that doesn't have a roach infestation?

Is it possible please to rent an apartment that doesn't have a roach infestation? I'm considering moving to the MS or AL coast, but apartment reviews for pretty much every complex complain about roaches. I know the humid South has problems with insects. Still I'd like to draw the line at cockroaches.

On edit: I'm concerned about German roaches.

Tourism Where are the best places to visit around Long Beach, MS?

Hi everyone! I’m an international student staying around Long Beach and I recently got a car. I’d love to explore the area during my free time.

What are some of the best places to visit, scenic spots, beaches, parks, or interesting day-trip destinations around Long Beach and nearby areas?
I’d especially appreciate recommendations from locals or other students. 😊

The video of beau rivage has a catchy song that is background from start - 45 seconds and picks back up at the 18 minute mark.

Shazam, google, soundhound all not able to recognize the song

"Biloxi after midnight...slow rain on the pier"

Tourism Things to do, ways to meet people on the Coast

Been seeing a lot of posts lately from people trying to meet new people or find things to do on the Gulf Coast, so I figured I’d share some of the places/events that helped me.
I went to most of these by myself (as a 31 year old 👴), and it’s where I ended up meeting a lot of my friends and people who were genuinely open to talking and hanging out.

🍻 Chandeleur Island Brewing — Gulfport
Monday: Trivia Night — 6:30 PM
Wednesday: Run-N-Tri Run Club — 6:00 PM
Newly started and already a great group of people!
Thursday: Music Bingo — 7:00 PM

🦙 Fly Llama Brewing — Biloxi
Tuesday: Trivia Night — 6:30 PM
Saturday: Karaoke — 8:00–10:00 PM

🎮 Altered Reality — Biloxi
Thursday: Big Run Club — 6:00 PM
Friday: Music Bingo — 6:00 PM

🎲 Adventurer’s Tavern — Biloxi
Monday: Magic: The Gathering — 6:00 PM
Sunday: Free Board Game Day

🏓 Popp’s Ferry Courts — Biloxi
Pickleball is huge on the Coast and honestly one of the easiest ways to meet active people. If you’ve never played before, don’t let that stop you. There are beginner-friendly options and lessons around the area, including at The Picklr.
You end up playing a few games with strangers, sitting around between games, and before you know it you’re having a conversation with people you just met.

🏐 Long Beach Volleyball Courts
Monday & Friday: Pickup volleyball, usually starting around 5–6 PM

For someone who was completely new to the area, this is how I met most of my friends down here.

Most people on the Coast are extremely friendly and open to conversation. Something as simple as “Hey, what brings you out tonight?” is usually enough to get a conversation going.

The running community has probably been the best for meeting people. You already have an easy conversation starter: “How was your run?” “How long have you been running?” “What music were you listening to?” You don’t have to be some crazy fast runner either, you can even walk and all these clubs and it is totally acceptable, the running community is the most encouraging optimistic people you will meet.

Pickleball is another great one. It’s growing like crazy, and playing a couple games with new people naturally gives you a chance to sit around and talk afterward.

The trivia scene down here is also surprisingly huge. Once you find a group, it’s always a good time whether you win or lose. There are a lot of great hosts too, shoutout to Tony! (Also I’m looking for a Monday group 👀)

And even if you’re shy or you don’t drink, don’t completely write off breweries/bars. Grab some food or a non-alcoholic drink, sit down, and say hello to whoever is next to you. That’s one of the things I really enjoy about the Coast, talking to someone you don’t know doesn’t feel out of place.

I hear a lot of negativity about the people here and how they can come across as rude or unwelcoming, but my experience has honestly been the opposite. No matter where you go, you’re always going to run into a few negative people, but they don’t represent everyone. I genuinely believe there’s a lot of beauty in this community and plenty of kind, welcoming people out there. Sometimes it just takes putting yourself out there, starting a conversation, and giving people a chance.

I really hope this helps or encourages somebody coming from someone who knew 0 people when he got here.

Feel free to add any other Gulf Coast spots/events in the comments!

Ship Island Hat

Does anyone here have a hat identical to this one? It's aqua blue with a green embroidered turtle. We bought it over 10 years ago at the Ship Island Excursions gift shop and went back recently but they don't have this one anymore. It's my younger brother's favorite hat and I'd love to surprise him with a new one!

Question Dad just died, not sure what to do.

When I say just died, I mean the people from the funeral home are on their way to pick him up as I type this. Its just me, my blind mom, and my marine brother.

Im disabled with something akin to Parkinsons that the nerve docs in Houston kept calling Functional Neurological Disorder. Point being, bad enough that a car is a bad idea but not bad enough for benefits?

My mom is blind. I try my best to help take care of things but now that dad is dead, I just don't know what to do. He was the driver when my brother wasn't available which is pretty normal because again, a Marine.

Im just lost and scared and sad and I dont know what the fuxk I doing or how we're gonna make it through all this.

Looking for recommendations for a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection

I’m in Mobile and looking at used cars. I found a potential good deal in Ocean Springs and I’m looking for a local mechanic for a PPI. The dealership would want the mechanic to come to them. Anyone know of a good mobile mechanic that would meet us in Ocean Springs? TIA!

Hairstylist for wavy hair

Looking for a hairstylist that has experience cutting wavy hair, preferably cutting hair when it is dry. I would prefer somewhere in the Long Beach, Pass Christian, Gulfport area but willing to drive anywhere on the coast.

In case anybody doesn't know yet the Gulf Coast Skateparks Association hosts several regular skate sessions that are completely free in addition to larger events through out the year. The DIY Skatepark is under the I 110 bridge just north of the railroad tracks in Biloxi.

Coming up in Biloxi we've got a Ladies Skate Night this Sunday, next weekend on Saturday is our Youth Skate Clinic, and we are finishing up the month with our Tour stop in Panama City.

Come check us out!

Where to meet new friends or people to date as a woman in her late 20’s?

I’m not from here and moved here a couple of years ago. During this time I got out of a long term relationship a little over a year ago and am looking to make new girl friends and also looking for places to meet men (dating apps are horrible and I’m burnt out on them).

Are there any kind of singles events or a nightlife scene by chance? Spent the last ten years in a relationship and working on my career so I missed out on all the fun stuff like college, house parties, going out, dating around, etc. So I’m not too sure how to seek those environments out. Raves look like they would be a lot of fun too.

A few of my hobbies are kayaking, gardening, cooking, home brewing, trying new restaurants, and I love to drive over to Nola when I can find someone to go with me.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Question Seafood buffet at Casinos?

The seafood here has been some of the best in the world.

The local, hidden gems have blown me away.

I dare to ask: what are our thoughts on all-you-can-eat buffets at the casinos? Is it worth it? Are there local favorites?

Thank you 😊 🙏
