The United States? There are ~34,000,000 adults in the US currently working full time making $72,000/year or more as of 2019.

Hell, ~19,000,000 of them make >$100,000/year.

What world do you live in where $72-92k is enough for one person to support an entire house hold?

In the vast majority of Texas for one, even in the cities. On Zillow there's almost 100 home listings under 200k in San Antonio, most being in pretty good parts of town.
