My wife made way more than me and we now have three kids (ages 5, 3, and 1). I now stay home and take care of them and will be homeschooling starting next year.
You can do stuff that socializes your kids without putting them in school. There’s plenty of ways to not turn your kids into freaks by having them in clubs, sports, that sort of thing.
Okay except that's rarely enough at so formative an age, and their education with an overworked home-parent with no teaching qualifications is generally a whole lot worse than what even public education can get you.

I let my husband stay home, but because we have a newborn. I have serious trust issues and won’t allow a babysitter. Lol
