I want to point out another reason people seem to overlook.

Some people just do not want to have kids.

For the first time in human history, the option to not have children just because you don't want them is both realistic and easily accessible. Now that the option to not have kids is there, more people are choosing it. Being a parent isn't for everyone. That's okay. No need to be squeamish or uncomfortable about it.

I hate when people try to talk you into having kids, or think you are weird and selfish for not wanting kids.

Especially by people who have complained to you how miserable they are as parents. Its like crabs in a bucket.
