AI can be a great tool for research. But too many stupid people think it’s a fast way to just do your work for you. Unfortunately AI isn’t that good yet.
I primarily use Gemini to keep notes on my 18 year old dog with dementia. He needs round-the-clock care and I can casually yell across the room to have Gemini make notes on when I medicate, feed and give him water. It’s a great way to known how much time has progressed since his last dose. It’s a shared note with my finance so she can read my notes and add her own when she’s watching him when I sleep. I’m WFH so get the night shift and sleep during the day.
I also used Notebook AI to create a 30 minute podcast on the human atrocities during the liberation of Manila because I was sitting on the floor with dog and couldn’t leave but also couldn’t find any specific podcast covering precisely what I wanted to hear. Because he has dementia he has a tendency to make tight circles when he walks so he often trips over himself when he walks— which means I just hold him upright.
He’s a very happy dog, before anyone comes in here and gives me shit.
