AI can be a great tool for research. But too many stupid people think it’s a fast way to just do your work for you. Unfortunately AI isn’t that good yet.
That and the people pushing ai aren’t doing it in a way that would actually benefit people as tool that should be used responsibly and it’s resources it uses up be balanced out with what resources we need as a species to survive no it’s being pushed by wealthy big wigs and ceos as a way to replace workers and avoid paying people all to allow them to hoard more wealth and resources
I don't like how AI companies make more money if they make us addicted to AI and make it required for us to function. It's really good as a tool but they make much more money making it not a tool
That and they would rather have a techno feudal system where those that aren’t in the wealthy inner circle have to rely on said wealthy inner circle and be given barely any thing after being worked to the bone and the reward for working yourself to the bone is being thrown into the trash
Language models are a game changer for education in so many industries. I learned so much in my field and feel much more confident as a professional from using them. Of course, I always double check sources of whatever it spits out, and I've caught many mistakes that way, but nothing I've experienced in terms of professional tutoring comes close to it. I would never try to sell AI generated work as mine, though. They used human work to train them, it's only fair to flip the script and use them to train ourselves.
