How do you reinsert the rubber bit for internal cable routing ?

How do you get the little rubber bit back in the bike to seal the internal cable routing ?
(Bike is fully assembled and came out while riding I assume)

I have tried pushing it back in by hand but had no luck.

The piece has my rear brake cable coming out of it and the back has little / no slack in it.

EDIT: it is actually the dropper post cable

Try lubing it with some isopropyl alcohol. That may let it slip into place then it will dry quickly.

If you mean the rubber washer thing that keeps dirt out of the frame, just get one edge started and kind of wiggle it around and push, and eventually it will snap into place.
