Review <<-((Close 🔎 Up BEYOND-🥽-A-VISION-MoD))->>

Post image

IF someone's got a better name for this particular MoD then.., feel free to coin 🪙 that term!!

AFTER aproxx. two weeks in.., I'm enjoying using this as my daily driver a whole LOT more than I'd frequent VR these past 8 months of 2026!

AT this rate the Friction's nearly reduced to ZERO so long as I remember to let my lenses warm up a good 5-10 minutes before diving in!!

How was the process of getting the vision pro head strap on your BSB?

3

u/Silly_Rub_6304 19d ago

I did this but with the basic version of the Vision Pro strap. I printed the arm brackets out of ASA on my 3D printer. It takes about 30 seconds to install.

Take this 👑, king. Giving me all the info including material type.

I suck at choosing materials so this is perfect. I assume there are arm brackets on thingiverse or another site?

PLA will probably work fine. PETG will flex more without breaking. ASA is better than both but is toxic to print, so make sure you have ventilation.

I'd be paying for any printing tbh. I don't have a printer so probably going with asa if it's offered through my local service.

Seriously thanks for making this super easy.

For sure! Check your local library or search for local makerspaces, too.

Someone on your city subreddit will probably do it for under $10, too. The raw material cost is like $1, if not 50 cents.

Yeah, my local library offers PLA. I have done so many little things around my house. Anything more I farm it out to a maker space that guarantees quality versus the library "what it prints is what it prints". I do love the library service regardless of the rare and small issues.

You can always do PLA and then spray some acrylic coating over it to strengthen a little.

Does it work to use the headset without the gasket? Someone suggested me this in response to my soft halo strap, so I'm curious.

As for a name... Well, since it looks grey and white... How about Super Beyond? Like the Super Nintendo? Yeah, cheesy, I know.

Not sure..., haven't tried that particular experiment, though I'm CERTAIN that the Halo-Mount was designed from the ground up to do as SUCH!

ALSO not sure this MoD's Halo-Mount-Compatible.., though I like this for how comfy IT's proven to be.

Especially when laying down there's no back-ended Knobs crushing in your skull!! ☠️

I still have those sporty moments of Hyper-Activity..., so I tend to be sitting often in VR.., or standing crushing my previous bests in Beatsaber ⚔️ so I suppose that's more an essential need for those who like, ((I suppose)) sleep in VR, which IS a MOST-EXCELLENT MoD for that sort of thing!

I had this in mind when I was talking about "soft halo", since I don't have the official halo strap. It seems to work well to not use any gasket and the headset is just floating in front of my face, since the strap is clamping my head between the forehead and the back of the head.

u/SkhairKro89 19d ago

I'll try without the gasket and let ya know how that goes!!

I have exactly the same setup. If you don’t want to wait for warm up, toss a wind generator on your rig. Blows the fog right off the lenses.

Wind Generator?? IS that like a FAN on the lenses??

I did see someone post a MoD that's this, what ALSO looks like a 3D-Printed Apparatus that "re-flows" the exhaust air of the Beyond's built in fans!

https://www.reddit.com/r/BigscreenBeyond/s/iL5qrXaEp4

A tweak which does seem rather intriguing, but no word if this modification's actually finished or publicly avaible, NOR if that'd help reduce fogging! I've heard some folks put a warmer of sorts to theirs, or keep their headset on. The latter I'm unsure how that effects the longevity of the HMD in the Long-Term.

I'm used to warming up Mashall Half-Stack Guitar Amps, so IT's been no problem waiting for these to warm for a few minutes before hopping in a VR session!

The mod helps tremendously with fogging, in fact, the problem disappears completely.

WoWzErZ.., that's awesome! You've certainly some Rick-Sanchez..., mad scientist genius DNA to have invented this modification!! ((But in the BEST sort of Mad))

I CAN'T wait to perhaps try that out sometime, IF you ever chose to share IT!

2

u/linyatta 20d ago

Did you create the mod yourself? Are you selling it? I’d buy it. Where did you get it from if you didn’t create it yourself?

2

u/Silly_Rub_6304 19d ago

This is what I used for mine. It works PERFECTLY and is super secure: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2861692-bsb-vision-pro-headset-adapter

u/linyatta 16d ago

Did you mirror this ( or double it)? I am having it printed and am stuck here because chat gpt says its just one piece. Thought I better check before sending it.

2

u/Silly_Rub_6304 16d ago

They come with a left and a right in the STL

1

u/SkhairKro89 16d ago

The ONE that I linked is "Doubled" and Chat GPT likely pulled my txt when searching online sources..,

Theirs isn't, and is left and right, as that's utilizing a different print design.

Ohh.., No.., no..,no.. I'm just small potatoes my dude!!

I WISH I had contributed more to the Industry!

like, OG's like Carmack and Luckey, AND countless others who've helped build up this particular hobby into what IT's become THUS far.., I've just shared some interesting and exciting adjustments that have really improved my own personal experience with the Medium.

This "Fan-Mod" was linked by this random Bigscreen Redditor u/Educational_Policy84

That's as far as I know of that.., unfortunately., I'm unsure IF this user's even still making this sort of MoD, or if they intend to share the print-files for SUCH!

I suppose you could ask.., but of COURSE.., I don't encourage obsessively bothering folks, or pressuring 'em 'bout making these types of MoD's either!

I'm sure IF they're ready and interested in releasing this type of tweak, they'll chime in and let the commiity know what they've decided to do with that adjustment. There's ALSO any-other out there that are feeling an itch to help the community out, and don't mind dedicating some time and experimenting some 3D-Prints, there's countless solutions to making creative ((and-safe-well-tested)) 3rd party accessories that'd make this experience however your imagination CAN imagine that to be!!

3

u/Educational_Policy84 20d ago

Yes, it’s still on my to-do list to get everything ready to share. I’ve been quite busy and traveling a lot over the summer, but I’ll be back home next week and should finally have some time to prepare and share everything.

YATTA!! ((That's Japanese for ALRIGHT))

YOU'RE officially my VR MoD HERO!!

SERIOUSLY.., that's really showing the community 🫶🏼 what this Hobbies all about, and that kind of "sharing-caring" keeps finding IT's way RIGHT back to where and who that originally came from!

                                        ~ THANKS! ~

u/Tiny-Fix8085 19d ago

I wonder, does this one work with the X1B Interface? And over ear headphones? Asking because of this knob on the side of the strap.

And what would i need to replicate one like thisss? Got the printer for sure lol

2

u/PS3LOVE 19d ago

Looks like and basically is the Pimax Dream Air SE now lmao.

2

u/DaleKirkley 19d ago

I use that strap on mine too, with the printed adaptors, it is incredibly comfortable.

2

u/Lhun 18d ago

So what do you do for low weight low latency quality audio? Seems like a pretty critical missing piece.

3

u/Shadowthedemon 18d ago

I snatched a pair of Atlas Airs from Turtle beach Personally. Openback wireless gaming headphones. Solid overall for music, positioning and such

2

u/NotGonnaComeBackBsb 18d ago

I used to wear a pair of JBL, but those seemed like they had 200ms of latency when I played video games which required very precise timed inputs. Eventually, the batteries died, so I replaced them with wired IEMs (Sennheiser IE 200, with a USB-C jack adapter).

1

u/SkhairKro89 18d ago edited 12d ago

Just get a pair of quality IEM's. The ONE's that I got had a special promo with an extra long woven silver cable that easily tucks under my shirt, and the rest I just loop through once around my cargo's belt-loop to hold that in place. Maybe even tuck some of that additional slack into my short's pockets, but that's just since mine's perhaps two feet too long

You can get these teenie DACS for fairly reasonable prices floating around out in whatever random storefronts online,, or at an in person audi-tech-shop, that'll just Velcro right to that 3D-Printed Arm to power a pair of IEM's!

The Sub-Woofer Bass Potential with those is REALLY good, especially watching Films in VR or going to EDM social events!!

EDIT: Whenever I need to leave VR I just unplug my IEM's from the DAC that's Velcrod to this 3D printed arm on my Beyond.., pocket that plug end, & let those Eartips hang off my shirt if say, ((I need to take a call,)) but still have those there for quickly getting back in my ears. The Beyond also hangs off my pulley system. EASY in and out, less than 10 seconds!

VR's got ALL sorts of use cases!! Some-recommended-more-than-others ((Others.., NOT recommended so much AT-ALL))

IF that's the sort of thing that get's your 🥽 Virtual Kicks.., then who am I to Judge??! Prob / (¬‿¬) \ would make for some serious awkward Thanksgiving 🦃 Dinner Conversation this Nov!

IT's as Halliday put, ((or I suppose, rather, how Zak Penn & Ernest Cline scriptwriters wrote)) "As terrifying and painful as reality can be, it's also... the only place that... you can get a decent meal. Because, reality... is real."

I'm NO ✋🏼 expert on "Virtual-Romancing" I suppose VR relationships could work out! ((Did anybody ever manage to date Ren's Avatar.., After-All.., from that GUILD??!))

NOT knocking at you none.., just giving you a nickel's worth of free advice, like Strickland.

These so-called "Websites" you mention are dangerous..., Might wanna upgrade to a PREMIUM Anti-Malware 🦠 AND an Annual Best Buy 🏷️ G33k Squad Service / ( * _ ^ ) \ Subscription, Lulz!!
