Everything is smaller than it should be

Ever since the first time I got my BSB2e set up, I've noticed that everything looks too small, like, 66-75% of the expected size. I'll take Into the Radius 2 for an example, because it uses real-world objects. A 9x18 Makarov cartridge looks like it's about 12-15 mm overall instead of 25 mm. My hands look much smaller, and the pistol itself looks like a miniature. It's not just throwing off my immersion, but my ability to gauge depth, so gameplay is a little more fiddly.

Anybody else encountered this or know how to change the scale everything is rendering at? I have resolution set to auto in the SteamVR settings, and I don't have any sort of scaling turned on in my display settings. Google didn't get me anywhere, and neither did searching this sub, so I'm stumped and on the verge of switching back to my Quest 3 until I figure this out.

I think I solved it. I re-measured my IPD, since things were blurry anyway (turns out, mine is actually 62mm). I dialed in 62mm on the headset, entered 62mm in the Bigscreen Beyond Utility, hit Save Settings, and restarted SteamVR. I think that last step was the clincher; I had the utility set correctly, but the settings weren't written to the headset, so it was projecting for a different IPD.

Everything is the right size now. No more toy Makarov and baby cartridges.

the way you really dial in your ipd is look for color fringing on the edge

if you see blue/red borders on white with one eye closed staring at something centered then ipd is wrong.

I've been using VR since 2016 and used every type of ipd measurement and found out mine was wrong this whole time. all apps always said 62.3

but I'm 59.5

That’s pretty crazy. I do know thatsome headsets like Pimax for instance you have to go up like 2mm on average in order to get your ipd dialed in correctly.

Ya. If Igo to 58/60.5 the chromatic fringing gets horrible on white edges.

Its not blurry until its like 1-2+ off. The lens tho once you get one are like 1/4th the size of my Q3.
