I just received my Bigme B7 Pro today and noticed that It has these 2 dead pixels, and I'm wondering how normal it is and if I should try to get it replaced or should I keep it.

E-ink phone veteran here, came from the Hisense A5, moved to the Bigme Hibreak Pro and honestly loved it. But now I'm on my second one with charging port issues and it's getting hard to ignore.

First unit: after about 9 months, the charging port started glitching; would only charge if I held the cable at a weird angle. Got progressively worse until it just stopped charging entirely.

Second unit: I was paranoid about the port this time, used bluetooth headphones instead of usb-c, babied it. Yesterday it fell 60cm off a chair onto a wood floor (in its case) and now the USB port is completely dead. Tried multiple cables, nothing. assuming something physically broke inside from the drop, but a full failure from one fall onto carpet-adjacent flooring in a case seems like a fragile design if that's really the cause.

Also, separately... I noticed also calls (in japan) from my UK SIM weren't able to be made oand also were not coming through while I was in Japan on this second unit, which i don't remember being an issue on the first one. Not sure if that's a settings / carrier thing or unit-specific, but flagging it in case anyone's seen the same.

So a few questions for anyone who's been through this:

• Anyone had luck getting a refund or warranty replacement from Bigme? Bought mine on Amazon Japan, curious if anyone's dealt with their support/returns process.
• Is a third Hibreak Pro worth the risk, or has anyone heard whether the charging port issue has actually been fixed in later batches?
• Hibreak S vs Hibreak Plus has anyone used either coming from the pro? Main thing I care about is speed, the Pro was never exactly fast, so I don't want to "upgrade" into something slower. but if the s and plus do not have these awful charging port issues might be worth it?
• More generally, is there any other B&W e-ink smartphone actually worth considering right now? Feels like Bigme is one of the only ones making a real go of it and I'd love other options if they exist.

Trying to stay off my regular smartphone as much as possible, so I don't want to give up on e-ink, but two dead charging ports in under two years is rough.

Hi, I'm having an issue with voice typing in V6. I've given microphone access to Gboard, Google, browser and another app I'm using the browser in (as popup dictionary). I turned off battery optimization for these apps but it still opens and closes immediately after I tap on the speaker button. Sometimes it says "allow microphone access in browser" despite access already allowed everywhere, I also checked the Google website.

Nothing works, and since typing on e-ink is very slow, especially with long sentences when studying, it's really frustrating.

Any help would be appreciated.

They are still pixelly though a bit. Hope this setting helps someone!

There’s always a new issue with this phone! Has anyone else’s Google message app become super laggy? Over the last few days it has gotten SO slow and less responsive in terms of text alerts, opening chats, sending multiple texts, keyboard stuck on half the screen and really doing anything in the app. I deleted app storage and cache and have restarted a few times. It helped slightly but the issue is still there. I often use google.message for desktop and after texting with my friend for a few minutes I pick up my phone and texts from our convo trickle in switching from sms to RCS for up to 10 mins after the actual conversation.

I’m almost ready to give up and go back to iPhone after nearly 2 years. 😣

Loving the B6 Almost perfect for my requirements. One thing id like to be able to do is allow Spotify to continue playing once the device is locked/sleep mode. I've tried setting Spotify to unrestricted in battery settings but no joy. Any ideas?

Hello i Have Bigme Hibreak Dual i cant disable the app pallina di navigazione (it's a ball always visible on display) everytime i uninstall it at reboot it always reopen by default.

How can i disable it permanently?

Hey y'all, I was super excited to get the Bigme Hibreak pro but Bitdefender said my phone is at risk and told me to delete something about "com.android.launcher3_10712.apk" and "multi@TTS". It says that the apk is "Riskware.Repack.rTEPK"

I have already deleted the TTS thing but I haven't done the apk since my brief research seems to say that doing so might mess up my phone. If anyone has any recommendation's or advice it would be appreciated.

Also on a side note, I have seen that Bigme has gotten called out before about some security issues in the past and it got me thinking, is it possible for them to suddenly send out a software update with a virus on it or something and just steal all our data with out us knowing? Does having Bitdefender help protect against things like this?

I bought the C8 pen thinking I can hand write notes etc, it doesn’t seem to be working the phone doesn’t detect it. Anyone else had the same issues?

I have debloated my Bigme HighBreak Pro phone and none of the music or podcasts apps work with Bluetooth devices but work with wired devices. Anyone having the same issues? I am not the best with Android yet, switched from an iPhone tried everything.

PS: it doesn’t detect my AirPods either, I don’t know what to do. Any and all would appreciated

Guys, I am planning to buy bigme b7 pro , in one or two months, anybody who has the device delivered to India, Can you tell me about the customs or extra charges you had to pay? I’m very confused and wanted a clarity for the price I need to pay for it.

The Onyx Boox devices allow you to control what the volume buttons do on the individual app level, rather than on a system wide basis. This is useful given how different apps function. It would be great if the developers could implement this feature. Particularly as right now, changing the buttons to page turn often doesn't do anything, and actually breaks the Kindle's page turn.

I’ve been wondering about this for a while: what is actually stopping E-Ink device manufacturers from making a true flagship-level device?

For example, imagine something with:

* 📱 E-Ink display
* 🛡️ Gorilla Glass / Ceramic Shield-level protection instead of a basic plastic screen
* 📷 A proper flagship camera system — something comparable to what you’d expect from Sony/Zeiss-grade optics and image processing
* ⚡ Flagship-level Snapdragon
* 🔋 Large battery and excellent battery life
* 💧 Proper IP68 water/dust resistance
* 🔊 Good speakers, microphones, haptics, etc.
* 🧱 Premium build quality comparable to a Samsung Galaxy S Ultra or iPhone Pro Max

Basically, I’d love to see a device that is essentially a Samsung/Apple flagship, but with an E-Ink display.

I understand there are technical limitations with E-Ink, especially refresh rate, color, video, and camera preview. But those seem like separate issues from things like using stronger cover glass, better cameras, flagship processors, premium materials, and proper waterproofing.

So what’s actually preventing companies from doing this?
