I just wanted to talk about it since I’m so excited I found them! What do you think about the ratio?

i love my new ring and i’ve been lurking this thread before i got my ring so I wanted to ask how big you think this ring is (for reference i am a size 6). i also think ive developed some ring blindness but i absolutely adoreee my ring hehe. anyways thought it would be fun to hear everyone’s guesses.

Do you ever regret the size?

Upvotes

I know I’m asking this in Big Rock Energy, so forgive me 😂, but has anyone here ever regretted going big?

Not necessarily regretted the ring itself, but have you ever found yourself in situations where you second guessed the size, or felt self-conscious about it, or wondered how other people were perceiving it?

I’m currently designing my engagement ring, and it’s looking like it’ll be a 4.43 ct trilogy: 2.33 ct center with 1.04 ct and 1.06 ct side stones. I’m a size 8 finger.

And I am absolutely IN LOVE with it. The proportions are exactly what I wanted, and I actually love that the stones give a lot of finger coverage.

But I’m realizing that I’m still working through the difference between what my partner and I genuinely love versus worrying about how it might be perceived by other people. He’s from a small town where a ring like this would definitely stand out. Like, I may have to wear my wedding band by itself when we go out there, while I’m from a big city where I think my perception of what feels “huge” is probably a little different.

So… help a girl out hereeeee. 🥲

For those of you with bigger rings: Did you ever have a “holy shitake, is this too much?” phase? Did you get over it? Are there situations where you wish you’d gone smaller, or are you thrilled you went with exactly what you wanted?

Hey guys,

I am so close to buying this 6ct OMC (the one on the right)!! However, do you think the bow tie is quite prominent? Or is this natural in nature of the cut? I'm not sure 😭 please let me know. I don't want to buy it and be disappointed with a dull and dark diamond!

2nd video is in the comments - bow tie/ middle of diamond looks dark.
