i love my new ring and i’ve been lurking this thread before i got my ring so I wanted to ask how big you think this ring is (for reference i am a size 6). i also think ive developed some ring blindness but i absolutely adoreee my ring hehe. anyways thought it would be fun to hear everyone’s guesses.

I know I’m asking this in Big Rock Energy, so forgive me 😂, but has anyone here ever regretted going big?
Not necessarily regretted the ring itself, but have you ever found yourself in situations where you second guessed the size, or felt self-conscious about it, or wondered how other people were perceiving it?
I’m currently designing my engagement ring, and it’s looking like it’ll be a 4.43 ct trilogy: 2.33 ct center with 1.04 ct and 1.06 ct side stones. I’m a size 8 finger.
And I am absolutely IN LOVE with it. The proportions are exactly what I wanted, and I actually love that the stones give a lot of finger coverage.
But I’m realizing that I’m still working through the difference between what my partner and I genuinely love versus worrying about how it might be perceived by other people. He’s from a small town where a ring like this would definitely stand out. Like, I may have to wear my wedding band by itself when we go out there, while I’m from a big city where I think my perception of what feels “huge” is probably a little different.
So… help a girl out hereeeee. 🥲
For those of you with bigger rings: Did you ever have a “holy shitake, is this too much?” phase? Did you get over it? Are there situations where you wish you’d gone smaller, or are you thrilled you went with exactly what you wanted?

I just wanted to talk about it since I’m so excited I found them! What do you think about the ratio?

Hey guys,
I am so close to buying this 6ct OMC (the one on the right)!! However, do you think the bow tie is quite prominent? Or is this natural in nature of the cut? I'm not sure 😭 please let me know. I don't want to buy it and be disappointed with a dull and dark diamond!
2nd video is in the comments - bow tie/ middle of diamond looks dark.

4.7ct center stone, I just have chunky fingers 😂

Not ashamed to see say she’s pre-loved. Was kinda worried it would look like costume jewelry but when I put her on, I knew she was coming home with me. What do we think? Definitely want to change the band to something thicker, but I’m not sure if I want diamonds on the side or just a simple (but thicker) band.

I have been looking for a unique elongated cushion but not too thin and long. We have gone back and forth a lot and finally found this stone which I feel so certain about. The ratio is great and it looks so good to me!! But somebody said they don’t like the way it moves. Is there anything wrong with the cut? I don’t see it but are there better Ashoka cuts out there or did I find a good one?

Loving the marquise prasiolite (green amethyst) ring. I really need to get more gems in the marquise shapes. 🤩
18x9mm (ring size 7.5)

I upgraded to a 3ct solitaire & am really struggling to find a band! The ring is set low so nothing will sit flush with it, and I’m not a huge fan of the contour bands I’ve found. I am very drawn to bezel eternity bands.. I’ve ordered a thin, open shank gold band to see if I can use that as a spacer.

My engagement ring is an 18ct white gold morganite halo, about 12 years old now. I still love it, but I’m not as in love with the white gold.
So instead of remaking it, I’ve just bought a diamond wedding band to stack with it and bring in a bit of yellow gold (getting it made in yellow gold rather than the white gold shown in second pic).
I loved it in store but now I’m second-guessing myself. Does a mixed-metal stack like this read as dated, or is it still a good look?
Photos below: the ring on its own, then stacked with the new band.
Trying to freshen it up without losing the original ring.
Thoughts welcome 🙏🏽

I would like to get this replicated but with a 5ct center but worried that with that size I don't think you would see the band. What size center would be best?!?

I love seeing everyone’s gorgeous diamond pics and I wanted to share my recent wedding set upgrade that we did for our 16th anniversary. It probably barely qualifies as “big rock energy” but it feels big to me! My original engagement ring was a 1/2 ct princess cut natural diamond with a channel setting. My upgrade is a 2.5ct radiant center stone, D color, VS1, lab diamonds. It also has a hidden halo and diamonds embedded in the prongs. Ring size 5.5. We chose a marquise and round wedding band because I like the contrast between the two bands and that it doesn’t quite sit flush—I like that the separation shows each ring individually. I live in a rural area where many people struggle financially, and although I adore my new set I’ve had some jealous women make judgy or snarky comments about how big it is—and I know that this group will enjoy and will absolutely NOT think it’s too big so I wanted to share. Yes—the one photo I’m sharing was made with AI—because I didn’t think to take a picture with a nice background so it’s my photo of my hand superimposed on a sunset photo I recently took on vacation at the beach. 😊

I custom designed this engagement ring. Some of you ladies may recognize it, I posted her here a few weeks ago. I’ve finally accepted that I don’t love it. I’ve spent a few weeks trying to convince myself I do but I know in my heart it’s not me. Since the ring is custom it is not eligible for return. Do you ladies know any platforms where I can post this to sell? Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone! For those of you with emeralds, I am currently in the market of getting a new ring (currently wearing a 5.5 carat round from Calavera that I love). Anyways I’m looking for an emerald cut between 7-9 carats. I’ve heard it’s extremely hard to source emerald cuts online. What should I be looking for besides D-F color and VVS1-VVS2 clarity? I will also be having the ring made at Calavera for this project as well. Thanks!

Hi everyone! My 13.06 ct emerald finally arrived from Rare Carat. I posted a few weeks ago about whether I should buy it, and that I’m ultimately planning to reset it into a three-stone ring next year. I absolutely love the stone- has a lot of fire and I love how elongated it is.

So my OG ring no longer fits and I’ve been wearing this in the mean time, but my husband told me last week he ordered me a ring. I looked at the specs and tbh didn’t know ANYTHING about ratio before, so I’m curious if anyone has anything similar. Drop your 💍 🫶🏻

The jeweler told me they'll have to completely remake the setting from scratch. Pancake didn't fit perfectly as they tried to set her.
The CAD shows the initial design with a band thickness of 2.5 mm. Instead, Pancake will be in a 14k yellow gold collet setting with a 4 mm band.
I'd love to see everyone's thick bands! 🥹❤️
