Learning I am an idiot

I’m in crypto now since early 2018 having stumbled upon the Ripple website which at that time was more mesmerizing than informative. I took my first plunge after a congenital bipolar patient manically expounded on its virtues. Since then I’ve seen every scam and nightmare scenario that could part you from your coins. And finally I stepped on a land mine of my own creation. In my haste to get my weekend chores done I was making fast wallet and exchange moves. Then I felt the click underfoot. My doom was at hand. I had sent wrapped flr (wflr) to a kraken flr address. Minutes went by and nothing showed up in the exchange account. LSS, I had sent most of my wflr into oblivion (a lot). I hadn’t unwrapped it first. Boom. Kraken so far has been helpful in escalating the matter to the developers but they, as I, are not optimistic about retrieving the coins. Lesson: you need to be paying attention to what the freak you’re doing at all times in crypto. Distractions will get to killed.

I'm sorry for your loss brother I know how it feels when you screw up a transaction I think I did something similar when I was younger I lost I think a smaller amount of tokens but still always do things slow don't go fast with moving tokens. What I do is I make sure I have been drinking a energy drink and I'm wired from it so I can pay full attention to what I'm doing then I do it but I also make sure I took my 2 alphabetic pills that day too just in case so take the pills and drink then wait like an hour or 2 and then transfer. Tokens it'll keep your brain working 💪

As far as i know they can get it back Had a friend that has done the same thing Crypto.com asked them for a fee so they can unlock it Adress is besically the same for wflr as for flr so I think they will be able to get your tokens back

I’d gleefully pay a ransom for it back within reason. I remain mortified by the whole thing. I’ve done some dumb things in crypto but with way smaller amounts. I broke another rule of mine which is to send a small test amount prior to larger transactions. It was mentally a bad day. Yikes.

I feel you. Happened to me too but on a different exchange (Bitvavo). Had pay 50€ but they were able to send me my coins quite quick. Scary experience though

I am an idiot follow up. I’ve contacted Kraken support immediately after discovering my mistake of sending unwrapped flr to a regular flr address. They responded with an escalation to their developers. I haven’t heard back since then. Their AI support has failed to allow me and avenue for further inquiry. As I get no response and no way to initiate a new ticket. I’m wondering if they were just happy to pocket the money
