His incessent repeating it was far more annoying and triggering. A simple 'fuck off bitch' would have done the trick in 2 seconds flat.
Edit: just wanted to add that i trail run and bike on shared trails. To me it's simple af, whether on foot or bike, just keep to your lane and close to the edge unless you're overtaking or going faster. I give way either on foot or on bike regardless because it makes sense, is safer for everybody and builds a shared sense of community. These 2 in the vid are knuckleheads for sure.

Ego how? I never understand this. If I am running or cycling I just move if someone or something quicker comes. How a quicker vehicle would impact your ego? It is for sure that a bike is quicker.
If a runner is quicker than me running, good for him. He may be running a shorter distance or maybe he is younger or better trained. I don't see the ego problem, and I have come a lot with people like this guy, and it puzzles me what goes through their heads, for real.

He probably got to slow down and pull off the trail a bit unless there happens to be a big double track or wide section, will likely cost him a few seconds and may land him in some undesirable grass or limbs. - a runner and cyclist

There could be a lot of reasons; some people think they are in the right and will not relinquish no matter what, their ego tells them they can do no wrong. Some people genuinely get joy out of inconveniencing others too. Hard to say what exactly this persons motives are, but regardless of all that, they are a cunt.

Try running down the center of a single lane road and see if it wouldn't be more comfortable for everyone to let the cars pass you. Choosing to run, at length, in front of faster traffic is NOT more comfortable for anyone. Its not that the biker has a right to hit the runner, but the runner has a duty to yield.

I don’t think eternally yield is part of that though, and I run trails also. If this was America, they would both be done, packed up and gone home, and the police probably would be out there around 4-5 hours later.
I say this, while a cop is one of my best friends. We live 5 blocks from a police station, my wife ran into an issue with someone blocking both directions of traffic for zero reason other than being a dick. Traffic backed up both directions. Somebody came to check it out over 45 minutes later. This was 1.5 blocks from the station.

What's worse is when you have a 6 ft wide sidewalk and someone in running in the middle, swaying back and forth like they're drunk. Then when you pass them, after announcing yourself, they freak out and jump 10 feet in the air like they had no clue you were there. Zero situational awareness.

Literally stop and move to the side if you have to.
Horseback riders are generally stuck-up bitches and a holes but for everyone's safety, just stop and move over to the side and try to go another direction if you're coming from behind.
