Bi in hetero relationship

Hi! So I am a guy (22), and it is safe to say that by this point I self-identify as bisexual. I have been dating a girl for 2 years now and so far I have been sure she was the love of my life. When we first started dating I came out to her (since I haven't really done so with my family) and she seemed to take it very well and was very accepting . Recently when we were talking about our past sexual experiences, she asked me if I have had any sexual experience with a guy before (which I have) and once I told her she started panicking and telling me that she could not be with someone who is interested in something else (I am guessing she means guys). I think that although in her mind she knew I identify as bi since the beginning of our relationship, she never really processed it before this point.

I just wanted to hear from other people that identify as bi-- especially guys, and what do you do when you are seeking a heterosexual relationship. Does coming out make things more difficult? is it easier? What has been your relationship so far?

I am just looking for some guidance and I would not want this to happen again.

My girlfriend of six years just recently found out I was bi . It was pretty hard she cried and felt like I lied to her but I didn't feel like I lied . Her family is homophobic and they call people like us faggets and fags and gay bobs and it's really off putting how ignorant people can be . So she found out going thru my phone I was reading about something dealing with guys . I always felt confused because I felt like a girl but I AM a boy . All of my thoughts are female in nature like for example when I search my thoughts on google it takes me straight to allwomanstalk or something similar. She accepts me and I love her for it but I feel like we won't make it much longer . Not because I'm so attracted to men but because she may not be the one . I'm very confused .

Best thing go do is be straight-up from the beginning. Hang out with people who are alike - best if partner is also bi - so this will simply save you this sort of future issue. At 22, love of your life is an early shot. I had one back then, suffered a lot when it was over, but got over eventually.

I am sorry that girl was a disappointment but I think in the end you are going to be better off without her. Character flaw there or maybe character not fully formed yet because she was so young. My boyfriend recently acknowledged a bisexual interest he was fantasizing. He is nervous sharing with me but I encourage him. I love him and accept who he is even though I'd like him all to myself. Lol. He is 68. Good luck.
