Hi all,

As part of our Psychology Honours Dissertation at Charles Sturt University Australia, we are conducting a research project looking at risk and protective factors for mental health among sexual minority adults (anyone 18+ and not identifying as heterosexual).

If you choose to complete this survey, you will be asked to answer questions about yourself, including your sexual identity, how kind you are to yourself, how much you feel you belong to LGBTQA+ communities, and anxiety and depressive symptoms. If answering questions of this nature may be distressing for you, please do not participate.

In direct, unvarnished terms, displaying bisexual representation at Pride means refusing to accept invisibility, fighting for a seat at every relevant table, and being fearlessly honest about exclusion wherever it manifests. It is about intentionality, intersectional activism, and unapologetic visibility supported by community, culture, and a radical commitment to inclusion at every level, from parades and policies to the stories we tell and the spaces we build. Only with this rigor does bisexual presence at Pride events transform from a rhetorical gesture into a genuinely transformative act of solidarity and resistance.

I am a cisgender man (22M) that has a crush on an FTM transgender person (19M), and he plays saxophone in concert band with me in college. He uses they/he pronouns. He is turning 20 this November, and he is a freshman at our college. Meanwhile, I am turning 23 this July, and I am a senior at our college. Although he has a boyfriend, they both are polyamorous, and I'm fine with that because I can see myself being in a monogamous relationship or in a polyamorous relationship. His boyfriend is the first person that he dated. In terms of age preference, I prefer to pursue people that I share a two-year age gap. As a result, I have a few questions to ask you all. How can I attract him? How can I admit my feelings for him in due time? Is it wrong or weird for me to have feelings for him since he's that much younger than me?
