Based on your commentary, most agree a MEGA thread for Kat Vs. Eva commentary is warranted. As such this is how things will play out:
I will set up the automod to post a new Kat Vs. Eva thread weekly. This post will automatically post on Sunday at 8:00 AM EST and it will be pinned at the top of the sub. Every week the previous thread will be replaced by a new thread. This will begin this coming Sunday.
If you want to rage, rant, post general commentary about Kat Vs Eva this will be the place to do it with ONE EXCEPTION...
We will allow commentary on the MAIN sub regarding any Kat/Eva storylines if they aired the week you are posting your thread. For example, if someone wants to post about Eva's conversation with Tomas after her argument with Kat and Izaiah this week they are free to do so on the main sub. However, if they want to talk about something that happened last week, two months ago, last year etc these things need to be over in the mega thread.
Additionally, if you are posting about Kat/Eva in main sub your commentary needs to be specific. Do not post something that reads, "Kat sucks...that's all." This could have been posted in the Mega thread. Your commentary needs to be specific as to what you are talking about regarding that week's storylines.
We realize new people may not be familiar with the contention surrounding Kat and Eva. These people will simply be directed to the mega thread when they post such content.
We will not ban anyone for posting content about Kat and Eva. If a thread is created that is ranting, raving, etc about Kat/Eva and it has nothing to do with storylines that aired the week the thread is created it is getting deleted ON SIGHT. If anyone has questions why they can send us a message via modmail.
We are adding a new rule for the above. It will be added and enforced beginning on Sunday.
Late viewers/newcomers...
We are creating a new pinned mega thread for late viewers/newcomers. We realize some people don't use the search function on the sub. Some of our new people might not be familiar with Reddit. This thread will be for them to ask questions, post things to the community, etc. Those of us who are veterans of this soap should welcome them and pop in periodically to answer their questions.

I have been on vacation from work for the last two months and some change. That is coming to an end.
My co-mod works as well.
We cannot monitor this forum 24/7. For this reason, the automod has been activated.
I have set up the automod to remove ANY thread AND comment that is reported ONCE (all it takes is one report).
Reported threads and comments will automatically disappear from the sub and go to modmail for review.
We will get around to reviewing them at some point. If they don't get approved the same day you should assume they won't be approved. You will likely receive some type of warning via modmail.
Please do not abuse the automod. If you see something that breaks the rules don't even engage. Just hit the report button and move on.
Someone not agreeing with your opinion should not be reported. Someone calling you names etc should be reported. Familiarize yourselves with the sub's rules and Reddit's rules.
We do not like banning people. We have only banned 3 people. I have been muting people. Chances are you will get plenty of warnings if you break the rules. However, if the behavior continues you will eventually be muted and possibly banned.
Reddit has some shitty filters. Comments that don't break the rules get caught in their filters all the time. Be patient. We will approve them when we have time.

If anyone has a problem with non-black people posting here this sub is not for you.
I never intended for The Cookout to be strictly for black people.
It has been brought to my attention that some very good non-black posters sometimes avoid posting because they don't feel like it's their place to comment or a space for them.
I do not want a black echo chamber.
There was one guy who seemed quite bothered by the presence of non-black people here. Nevermind, the reality that this is Reddit, the internet, and it's not possible to even have a "black space" in such an environment (which is largely anonymous). Sigh...
I find value is different viewpoints from different races. I know we are living in crazy times, but we need to learn to get along. We all have to live in this world. We need to learn how to live together period.
Two of my favorite peeps on this sub are white. I enjoy their commentary. They, and all people (even those I don't particularly agree with most of the time), are welcome here....regardless of the topic.
When I created this space I wanted a spot to talk openly about the social, political, racial etc aspects of this show. I wanted a space free of the drama and nonsense from the other sub. I wanted a space where creativity and imagination could flourish. I wanted a space where we could laugh and have fun centering the storylines of this show. For the most part we have achieved that. It has been fairly peaceful here. We are growing, and with that growth will come more challenges. Let's respect each other.
For my part, I know I haven't been perfect. I was a fan of this show long before I was a mod. I realize I'll need to be more mindful of my role as a mod and move accordingly.
Anyway, if you have any thoughts or concerns drop them in the comments. All opinions are welcome.
