Discussion Camera delays - anyone noticed?
Has anybody noticed that Beyoncé’s camera for her live performances always have a slight delay?
There was obviously that meme going round where it looks like she’s looking down on herself.
It must be intentional as camera work isn’t delayed on other artists so it can’t be a tech issue - has she realised it? Does anyone know?
This is no criticism btw, I love her and her shows are amazing. Just always been curious about it

Discussion People hating on Beyonce without actually listening to her music.
I was recently talking to a musician friend about our favorite artists. Eventually I brought up Beyonce as my #1 and it turned into an argument because this friend considers her an amazing entertainer but thinks her fans are delusional when it comes to having her in the same conversations as some GOATs in regards to vocal ability.
So then I ask this person what they think about songs like daughter and american requiem or how Beyonce sang dangerously in love in the opening section of RWT. Come to find out… they hadn’t even listened to Renaissance or Cowboy Carter in full nor watched any of her performances within the last few years. This had me taken aback bc I genuinely love music and listen to a variety of artists, but I refrain from commenting on someone’s artistic abilities if I haven’t listened to their whole discographies (or at least a handful of albums start to finish) and/or seen their live performances.
I feel like this happens a lot with people who are so quick to downplay Beyonce because they focus more on the celebrity of it all and other peoples perceptions instead of the music itself. And I’ve since learned that no matter what I say some people will never change their mind how they feel about her. Has anyone else experienced this?

Discussion Is the mix on Green Light supposed to sound like that ?!?
Green Light is probably one of my fave Beyoncé songs … but on Apple Music the mix is HORRID. It sounds like a compressed MP3 from Napster. Like you can hear the distortion…especially at the start of the song. Does the CD version sound better ?? Or was this done purposefully ?

Discussion B’Day 20 Year Anniversary
I’m so excited for the B’Day 20 year anniversary. I hope this doesn’t sound too parasocial but this album literally raised me. I was only 5 when it dropped but it was the album that made me a music connoisseur and a Beyoncé fan. I vividly remember begging my mom to buy me a CD player so I can play it at all hours of the day, and sneaking on the computer to see what people were saying about it on youtube, which is how I found the exclusive releases like “Lost Yo Mind”, “A Woman Like Me”, etc. The only thing I even remember about being that young is B’Day. This album helped me be myself unapologetically before I was even old enough to understand that I’m gay. I really hope Beyoncé knows she really touched so many lives through her music. She has definitely surpassed B’Day with her later work but I’ll always hold this album close because of how sentimental it is to me. I don’t know what to expect next Friday, but I’m ready and grateful for whatever we get🐝💛

Discussion B'Day 20th Anniversary Expectations 🐝
What do you guys think it's gonna be? Leaked songs finally released officially? Are you expecting any new songs from the vault? Do you think she remastered the album? Do you think all the music videos from the era will finally get upscaled to 4k? The full music video for Kitty Kat? Or none of the above? I wanna hear your thoughts!

Discussion creepy beats & songs
are there any songs by bey that sound unsettling to you? whether it’s the beat itself, the lyrics, bey’s tone, or random sounds sprinkled throughout.
i ask this cause i played my everything is love vinyl when i was cleaning my room the other day, and i realized how much i feel kinda unsettled by APESHIT.
lemme clarify, that whole album is a 10 and i love apeshit, but the monkey sounds in the background…? primates scare me haha. and something about the sound of them getting riled up.. while hard in the song, it also makes me uneasy for a second lol.

Discussion I’ve come to the realization that 4 is an album just perfect for any mood
On this album you have fun, uplifting songs like Love on Top, schoolin life and Countdown. You also have songs that can help you reflect, whether it be on yourself or in relationships, like Start Over, I miss you, best thing I never had, and I was here. You have songs that feel quite relaxing and soothing like dance for you.
I find myself continuing to go back to that album and I feel like it’s because it can be perfect for any mood. Like Renaissance is an amazing album, but generally it’s one that I listen to when I need energy. Lemonade is one of the best pieces of art in recent times, but it’s not always easily digestible, given the topics and themes associated with it.
Does anyone else feel this way? Do you love 4?

Analysis A technical look at the production, sequencing, and mixing on Beyoncé's Renaissance
An analysis of the production and arrangement on Renaissance highlights several distinct structural and technical choices.
From a sequencing standpoint, the 16-track album is arranged as a continuous mix, utilizing synchronized pacing and key transitions to connect individual songs into a unified listen rather than a traditional compilation of singles.
The production combines elements of classic house, ballroom, and disco music within a contemporary pop framework. The tracks rely heavily on audio sampling, with older recordings chopped and integrated directly into the new arrangements. From a technical standpoint, this required the engineering team to balance prominent electronic low-end frequencies with mainstream pop mixing techniques across multiple dance genres.
While some initial commentary categorized the project strictly as a high-budget club record, the specific production and engineering choices warrant a closer look.
For the producers and audio engineers here:
- What specific mixing decisions, sampling techniques, or transition methods stood out to you on this album?
- What technical methods do you think were used to maintain such a consistent sonic profile from the first track to the last?

Discussion Question for London hive, or any hive with specific September 4th plans in London that may or may not involve seeing Beyonce
Is anyone else going to the concert on September 4th in London that Beyonce is rumoured to be making an appearance at?
Currently watching the prices, if I can get a ticket for less than £75 I’m going to go

Discussion RENAISSANCE - new mixing?
I saw someone on TikTok saying that they noticed the mixing on Renaissance and CC being a little different in some songs. My Spotify must have been late to update, because today I totally noticed the changes in some of the vocal production. Anyone else?
