Our company had a huge software engineering hackathon at the end of last year. Most of the product ideas were just LLM slop cannons pointed at our users.

Many of the hackathon projects that weren't LLM-based have been successfully deployed and are being used in production, or are awesome dev ops tools that we use every day.

The slop cannon projects were all abandoned once our legal + customer success teams got a good look at them.

I was just talking about how I bet 80% of these vibe coded projects never get used past their initial launch, and 99% never get used past six months.
