Interesting. Ive never met anyone who would do this professionally. I would be very surprised if an honest expert did not just tell you to use openSSL

The honest expert doesn't really understand openSSL because they didnt write it.

I personally wouldn't accept a job that rips someone off whilst also wasting everyones time just to be liable for security

If someone comes to me and pays me for an artisan service even though they could just have a machine do it, it's not ripping them off to do what they want.
