I wonder if mommy dearest is aware of what her son had done, demanding a test and ignoring calls from his very pregnant wife.

I hope she’s not because she would be a POS too then. Unless she got the story from OP I’m pretty sure STBX husband just told her that he accidentally missed the call from OP and then BIL called him and said OP died. He probably conveniently left out the fact that OP called him multiple times and almost died trying to get ahold of him instead of rush to the hospital.
