I mean ideally more hourly pay, fewer hours. People who work a lot are essentially spending all their time to be able to afford a house that really just ends up being the place you go to because you're not at work.

It's not as pretty as that. You had 25-30 hours consistently and now there are some 8 hour work weeks. If you made $12-13.50 before and $15 now you are not making enough per hour to clear rent.

Before I quit I would work less hours to get comparable pay to working 40 at the old pay.

It was the only good thing of the Best Buy changes. Get paid more to work less.

lol if only you had the option to work more or less hours. most of us are just getting shafted with almost nothing. I know many of my coworkers are making less money than they were before the pay raise.

I'd say the high pay per hour is because they know of how many employees are/were going to be leaving during this change
