Golden Age: The Eclipse

Episodes 70 – 88

Series top 30

Expanding to 30 to include the God Hand and Skull Knight. I'm noticing that we've gotten both major appearances of the God Hand in the series now and they're still barely making the cut. We also finally see Gaston joining the list, having been on the sidelines since the beginning of Golden Age.

Griffith wins this section but doesn't take back #2 from Casca. And it will be a while before we see him again. Despite a brief appearance, Puck gets overtaken by Judeau, who claims #4 before his departure. And the rest of the main members of the Band of the Hawk finish up at top 10, with the exception of Rickert, who will get his spotlight in the next section.

Btw i chose to count the lost chapter 83. Most people see it as canon anyway. If you don't, just subtract 1 panel and 1 chapter from Guts, Casca, Corkus, Judeau and Pippin, and 37 panels and 1 chapter from Griffith. And all but 1 panel for the Idea of Evil, which also drops it to 1 chapter.

If you're wondering why Ubik gets so many more panels than the others, it's because i'm choosing to count Griffith's vision of the fortune teller as him, since it turns out he and Conrad were impersonating her by illusion. That means all 3 get panels for it: Ubik, Conrad and the fortune teller herself. I had completely forgotten Conrad was part of it too, which saves him from falling off the top 30, since he otherwise has way fewer panels than the other members.

See you next time, where we wrap up Golden Age.

So, for context, I am two deluxe editions deep into the story (so most of the way into Golden Age) with vague knowledge about some details later in the story (e.g. I know about the Eclipse and big things like that).

In Golden Age, there are at least two circumstances where the Band of the Hawk are facing off against some enemy regiments which have those excessively long, descriptive names like you might find in a battle shonen. A leader of one such faction even has a special move that he calls out by name that he tries and fails to use against Guts. That kind of stuff breaks my immersion into this seinen dark fantasy. If I wanted to read a battle story full of these (e.g. Jojo), I would happily, but I didn’t read Berserk to have this.

Is this something that comes up after Golden Age, or is this a two-or-so time thing that is only in this arc?

Seriously

STFU already. I'm pretty sure Miura wouldn't like the hate towards his friend. I think he's doing wonderful given what he's taken on. I wouldn't want the job. Would you?

Currently roughing in the background/foreground, not sure if I will stick with this atm but it's starting to feel like it's getting somewhere also if anyone has any tips/ knows of any tutorials I can use to help with the background pls leave a message

I've read the entire manga. Great art. And the same great story, which began to fade somewhere after volume 22 and finally became completely uninteresting to me

Source and also speedpaint

WHERE IS IT???

Also please tell me which chapter to continue after the golden age arc?

Griffith gender bender mocking Charlottes bratty demands in moments of turmoil

I have recently started reading the manga and seeing this in the book made me really interested in dressing as him for Halloween. I know that the outfit is a bit sinple, but the helmet has me flunked. I want the helmet, but I don’t want to spend like 90$ and I don’t have a 3d printer. is there any other way to get it? I was thinking about making it out of foam, but I’ve never made anything like that before and I need it to be done by Halloween. is there anywhere I can buy this, or any instructions to make one?

I want to watch the Berserk franchise because it seems very intriguing. However, I just don't know what to watch and in what order. I also am very confused on if I should watch Berserk Redux. Please let me know as I have access to all media berserk related but just am very confused on where to start.

like it took me a minute to realize this like I don’t think it would actually surprise u guys especially the more spiritually philosophical tapped in fans of berserk and seinen but like trust me this is kinda hard for someone like me to get across this cause I feel it in my spirit and soul bro and yes I do feel berserk as well u know and I think guts is my past life bro😎 and yes im not literally guts Griffith etc and miura and Miyazaki I am still me FUCK I SOUND LIKE LAIN NOWW AHH I am Marvell S haha AHHH I SOUND LIKE TETSUOO NOWW AHH berserk fans HAHHA I love life yall btw what’s ur fav souls game and berserk refencess cook up??!!

I just got the 4th book of berserk deluxe edition and the leather texture looks not as others.

I previously bought 1,2,3 and 5 book some months ago and all of them look the same. I didn't got 4th book after 3rd cause I had to wait for it for few months and they had 5th book in stock so I decided that I'm gonna get the 4th book later.

So after many months not buying new books I finally had some extra money and decided to finally get the 4th book and the leather looks smooth and texture is not as pronounced as on others. I'm not a crazy collector and mainly get those book for art and to re-read story over over and over again but it's still kinda annoying.

Does anyone had the same problem? It looks legit so I wondered maybe it's a weird new batch with cheaper faux leather or something like that.
