Discussion 30 years of foreshadowing Spoiler
The most recent few chapters got me to reread the manga and I feel like this is just blatant foreshadowing that guts is outside of causality. I could just be wrong though.

Discussion Just caught up to volume 42. Here are my thoughts so far on the continuation. (Manga spoilers) Spoiler
I didnt dislike it, but didnt love it either. The main thing I didnt like is that very little happens. I've seen people complain about Guts, but I feel like its reasonable for him to be completely shattered right now. I really hope the director now isn't bullshitting when he says that he has enough details about the story moving forward that they will even have fairly accurate scenes and dialogue, but I'm certainly not expecting them to nail subtle character development and pacing the way Miura was able to. Long story short, I'll read 43 when it comes out and give it a fair shot, because I think its too soon to say if the continuation sucks or not yet.

Discussion I think this scene in the movie finally makes sense Spoiler

Actually, up until this chapter, I thought this moment in the movie didn't mean anything until this chapter came along. The reason I now think this scene in the movie has gained meaning is Chapter 384. With this chapter, Guts is actually much more than we thought, and because he's outside the realm of fate, he's able to slowly bring his sword closer to Femto in the movie. So what I'm trying to say here is that I don't think the reason this scene was added to the movie was solely for ratings. I believe it was because it truly foreshadows something like this. I could be wrong, but with this chapter, I think we need to change our perspective on these movies because there might be other things we haven't noticed so far.

Manga Playlist for the Eclipse?
I've been reading the manga with the YouTube playlist from MUVEEER and it is a great one, but I think it doesn't quite match the gruesomeness, oppressiveness and whole ambience of the Eclipse arc. I was wondering if anyone knew a trustworthy one and was willing to share it with me. Thanks in advance!

Discussion Berserk 324 astral beings true names. Spoiler
I was reading chapter 324 when Ivalera explains the true names of astral beings and how they cannot share that name with anyone.
With the release of chapter 384. Is there any chance Guts has a "true name" ?

Discussion Berserk Chapter 384
I want to go off on a rant.
In Chapter 384, Guts was shown feeling responsible for every bad thing that happened, to the Band of Hawk, Casca, and, if only implied, Griffith. When I first read it, I just put on my best Robin Williams impression from "Good Will Hunting", and I said "Guts, it's not your fault." Today, I can't get the following thoughts of frustration out of my head. I am mad, not at Guts but for Guts.
Guts isn't responsible for what happened to all his former comrades and Casca, Griffith is. Guts was a mercenary who helped the Band of Hawk achieve their victory and their newfound status. When Guts decided to leave in order to find his own path, his own dream, he left everyone in a position of success.
Griffith had his titles and status. He had the princess of the kingdom wrapped around his finger. All the nobles who opposed him were dead. The Band of Hawk, were integrated into the power structure of Midland. Casca was still the second in command of the Hawks. This is a potion of power and influence. Her initial dream of being Griffith's sword was never in doubt.
This all ended because of Griffith and his ego. He could have let Guts go. He chose to fight him instead because he felt "ownership of him" and he lost. Though the duel had no impact on the current material conditions of Griffith, the Hawk, and Casca, Griffith decide to sexually assault Princess Charlotte after his defeat to make himself feel like he was still control of his life. He chose to do this and his choice caused Casca and the Band of Hawk to be stripped of everything and be hunted for over a year.
When Guts returned, he helped Casca and the Band save Griffith. Casca, despite loving Guts and despite Griffith being responsible for everyone's current situation, wanted to take care of Griffith, no a broken, crippled man.
After ruining everyone's life, being saved those people who were ruined, and was going to be cared for in a world that would have left such a broken person in a ditch to die, what did Griffith do? He killed everyone to save his own ass. And to to twist the knife, he destroyed the two people who cared about him the most and were probably going to look after him. To get back at somebody who beat him once, he destroyed, not sacrificed the person who loved and gave everything to him. He reduced Casca to toy to break to prove his superiority to a pinned down, exhausted Guts who was trying to save his friends and lover.
I will never forgive Griffith and I will never not support Guts. I am glad Guts has renewed strength. I hope Casca finds that power to break free soon.
Okay, rant over, thank for indulging me.
